March Symptoms

Re: March Symptoms

  • @meluros I have had constant headaches one thing that has been a life changer for me has been electrolyte mix. It’s truthfully been life changing I drink one a day and it has reduced the intensity and frequency

  • @meluros Have you talked to your provider about the constant headaches? I would discuss both of these symptoms with them ASAP.
  • Ok so I just started an hour ago with this random, warm, burning sensation (feels like nerve damage) to my right anterior lower leg. I looked it up and meralgia paresthetica: appeared but it describes these sensations to the upper thigh region, mine is in my anterior lower leg. Anyone ever experience this?
Will call OB tomorrow if it persists.
  • @slothstatus Keep an eye on it—if it turns red or begins to look like a rash, it could be shingles. I had it when my son was 6 months old, and it periodically comes back for me (not the case for most people—I’m immunocompromised). It can break out under stress, and for me, it always starts out feeling like a bad sunburn until the rash shows up. I hope it isn’t shingles, but wanted to mention it in case it is!

Thank you for letting me know! Thankfully it only happened that night 😊
  • @lmn823 have you tried any breathe right strips for the night congestion? They really help open the sinuses up!
  • @benten24 nope but I’m desperate to try anything lol so I will buy!
  • @lmn823 do you have a humidifier? I was very congested at night when pregnant with DS and used so many nasal strips. Then newborn DS was congested too and when he was 2/3 months old we both caught a cold and I bought one for the first time. Such a game changer! I realized our previous congestion was dry winter air (he’s a January baby) and felt so bad for his little sinuses
  • @tumbleweed-1 I have on my humidifier and an air purifier 🤣 and my pregnancy pillow is elevated, which I hate bc who really likes sleeping elevated. I have tried nasal spray but I would prefer not to take it daily and it will work for 1 hr and then I’m congested again. I even tried gua sha on my face where my sinuses are. That helps for a few minutes. I even wear my Fitbit to bed to track my oxygen levels and some nights they’re really low as if I have sleep apnea but I’m pretty sure it’s just me not used to being a mouth breather. Plus drool and dry throat from it is not fun 😓
  • Today was not a good day for me. I was alone and I felt dizzy and felt like I had to grab on to something to catch myself. It happened twice today for just a quick second. I don’t know if my blood pressure is just low from the baby? But I felt faint after I ate, was hydrated and didn’t understand what made me feel that way.

I feel ok now it’s been hours but it scared me plus I was alone. I didn’t think it was necessary to call my ob unless it happened again and so far it hasn’t.
  • @lmn823 that's such a scary feeling! I had more dizzy spells with my daughter, but I haven't had them as much this time around. My blood pressure is also stupid low so I think it made me a little more susceptible to them happening.
  • @gingermama I also feel very heavy this time around. I’m 16w and don’t recall feeling this way until 3rd tri for my first. I’m planning to use some KT tape soon especially for working out.
  • @lmn823 I had the same thing this pregnancy - it is definitely scary. Squat or lay down as soon as you feel it coming on. When I asked my OB she said there's nothing to do about it, body is just trying to increase blood flow to the placenta/baby.
  • I hit a wall everyday at 3. It doesn’t matter how much sleep I get or what I’m doing during the day. We usually do school from 12:30-3 and afterwards I feel so mentally and physically exhausted I crash on the couch.

Also, I felt the baby so much all day long yesterday. I have been feeling very sporadic movement and yesterday it was all day long. It was amazing. I have an anterior placenta and knew it would be awhile before I started feeling regular movement but it’s my favorite part of pregnancy and I’m so glad it’s finally happening.
  • @emeraldcity603 same here! I have another active little baby and was worried I wouldn’t feel it as much with this one since I have an anterior placenta. That fear has gone away in the past week lol.
  • @msjaay I was reading to the kids and had the book resting on my bump. I could feel him stretching out on both sides trying to move away from where the book was resting on me.
  • Still super tired. Tried napping today but my toddler wouldn’t let me 💔😞 lol
  • Anyone else have absolutely no libido? I expected to want to jump my husband’s bones daily at this point but nada. Like, don’t want anyone to touch me at all. I don’t remember this from my first pregnancy and it’s really frustrating for both of us.
  • @benten24 i haven’t much in the way of libido either. I hoped it would come back by now since it’s been this way for the whole  pregnancy so far but unfortunately no sign of it yet.
  • I have a high sex drive normally and it’s no different now! Even when I was dealing with my worst morning sickness, I still was chomping at the bit😅 SO only has one testicle due to cancer so his drive isn’t close to mine but the further along I get, the more sex we have! We managed to go at it 3 times within 12 hours last weekend which has NEVER happened before and I will not be complaining😂😂
  • Whoa! @justyouraveragemama lol you are not your average mama 🤣🤣

my libido has been the same, but my SO and I usually have sex once a week and that’s just been something normal for about two years already. Half the time I’m lazy or he’s exhausted from work but we try to make time once a week. I did notice that the penetration feels a bit more tender, like it takes a while to warm into it.
  • @lmn823 as pregnancy progresses everything will swell down there and it does get tender. Lube is definitely your friend.

@justyouraveragemama we haven’t managed to get away from the kids more than once in a 12 hour period. We have to put a movie on and say we need to “talk” upstairs.
  • @lmn823 that’s really the only not average thing about me😂😂

@emeraldcity603 we weren’t away but we also only have one and he was zoned out on tv because on weekends he gets more tv time. The 12 hour stretch was just from 2am-2pm lol
  • Holy shit I'm exhausted just considering the possibility of sex that often. Before kids we were a couple times a week, but that dropped to like once or twice a week since my daughter was born. But between travel and MIL visiting and all the vomiting we just broke a 6-week dry spell, which I think ties our record in our marriage (and that was the six weeks after I delivered last time). And honestly...I was sort of in a take-it-or-leave-it headspace. I know he needed it, but I've had basically no interest in sex since that test turned. I feel a little bad about that, and he's been really understanding, but...eh.
  • Well I’m glad I’m not alone with the low libido. I’m a bit jealous of y’all with insatiable appetites 😆
  • I feel like my symptoms change every week! Lately I've been have a lot of random muscle cramps in my legs and hips, super not fun when in the middle of something. I think the round ligament pain is also hitting as things are stretching and growing a lot more! I was worried about cramping but it seems to be these pains rather than some other issue. Just trying to stay as active while giving myself enough rest when I need it.
Has anyone tried a belly band before? I'm not even that big yet, but I'm feeling very heavy and stretched, thinking I might need some support 😬
  • Some days I’m really tired but it’s usually when I’ve done a lot that day. I’m also feeling the belly stretching and some heaviness depending on the day. Reminds me of last time, the whole 3rd trimester I thought baby was just going to fall out.

@mrskoehl with my second pregnancy I used a belly band for extra support and I had a support belt. I’m on my way to using both again eventually. I felt both helped and I was still active until the end so that did not make a difference, I just carried really low last time. I think it will be about the same this time around.

  • Speaking of cramps and carrying low, being a first time mom these physical feelings are new to me. I was standing yesterday and I feel weird sensation pretty low, it felt like it was in my bladder. Is that just the baby kicking my bladder? I did not like that feeling 😳
  • @lmn823 possibly. Days where I’ve had pressure low, I’ve noticed baby’s feet were facing down and pressing or kicking on me. It does not get any better because they just get bigger. I’m waiting for a punch to the crotch. It’s like they are trying to escape. 😂

  • @lmn823 I had a ton of pressure yesterday when standing. In my mind it’s because I walked like 2.5 miles and spent ages outside and standing. It went away when sitting and after a good nights sleep. But it felt like my vagina was going to fall out. To me that’s very different from baby kicking because kicks are quick but pressure lingers!
