Caleb Middle Name Opinions!

Hey guys! Trying to figure out a middle name to go with Caleb for a boy. My hubby wants to honor his grandfather (Clyde), but I'm honestly not loving "Caleb Clyde". I don't hate it per se, but it isnt my favorite. His grandfathers name was "Chester Clyde" and Chester isn't an option lol. My dad also passed away unexpectedly on 1/23/23 and I would love a way to honor him (his name was Newton but we called him "Chip"). Our options aren't that great lol. 🤦‍♀️
Any ideas/collaborations/anything yall can think of would be appreciated! I am open to any and all ideas! Thanks ❤️

Re: Caleb Middle Name Opinions!

  • Caleb Clyde and Caleb Newton are both solid options.

  • I'd do Caleb Newton
  • One could argue that you’re honoring both sides by naming your child something starting with a C, so maybe just pick a name you like for the middle name? I think something monosyllabic would work well with Caleb, like Caleb Jay or Caleb Luce.

I think any of those names except for Chip would work. I'd start by choosing which man you want to honor then pick one of those names. Alternatively, you could combine the names. I'm thinking maybe something like Clayton, taking the beginning of Clyde and end of Newton "Cl(a)y"+"ton".
  • I think you should come up a name that is a mix of both grandfathers name.
