How is everyone doing? We’re all very early, but interested in getting the board going/organized if we can!

I know usually we just copy/paste the weekly post schedule from previous BMBs, but not sure if anyone wants to talk about what threads we do/don’t want to use here? My previous BMB used them all I believe, but it’s been a long time!


Has anyone had ultrasounds yet / have one scheduled? I want to make sure we have the ultrasound thread started and stickies for the first pictures of LOs!

We have brunch at my in laws every Sunday. It’s going to be so fun hiding the nausea until we are ready to share

I'm for all the threads! My only suggestion is maybe we hold off on splitting the weekly check ins until we get a bit more people? We could start by posting a check in for the entire group if that makes sense.

@AmMcc12 I never went back to hard pants. I don’t need that kind of pain in my life. Soft pants for liiiife.

@charmedlifex3 I’ve been wearing jeans and currently they are my worst enemy!! Def need to get soft pants asap

I’m living in my leggings. At some point I’ll have to go shopping for scrubs and I’m not looking forward to that!

I never wear leggings at work. I fear that if/when I start, it will be a dead giveaway.

Speaking of maternity leggings- if you live near an Aldi when they do the maternity leggings - stock up! Thick, comfy, durable and $10 for 2 pairs. They only offer them sporadically sadly!

What are you guys craving so far?

My cravings for Burger King lettuce and tomato (not even a specific sandwich, just the lettuce and tomato!) is weird but has been constant the past few days!

@izza2 that is an interesting craving! Is there something that makes the Burger King ones special? 

I’ve been craving gravy and street tacos.

@izza2 Not a thing, lol. Just the same as store-bought fresh produce!

@izza2 beef. 🤷‍♀️ I usually hate meat. My daughter has a rare disease and beef is her only protein she can eat,  so it works out. Oh and cake.

I have been eating sour patch kids every day 😂 it just hits the spot!!!! anyone else craving sour candy?

@clairep123 I ate a lot of sour patch kids in my first pregnancy! It seemed to help with the nausea

My uncle just invited me to a college football game 9/16 exactly a month before my due date. Normally I’d be jumping to go but thinking it will be a no go this time.

@AmMcc12 When I was pregnant with my first, I was offered a ticket to a football game 10 days before my due date. There was no way I was sitting in a plastic chair and waiting in line for a washroom when I could watch from my couch at home!

@sawasap definitely not something I want to do at 8 months pregnant!

Also, we had a cruise scheduled for Jan 2024. Babe won’t be old enough to go so we are needing to reschedule. Right now trying to debate on if we should just go ahead and do it now or wait until I’m are further along and we know pregnancy if viable.

@AmMcc12 if it’s not different to cancel it after your first ultrasound I would do it then!

@clairep123 I’m craving the opposite, lol! Everything spicy! Spicy Popeye’s chicken sandwich, spicy grilled chicken from Chick-fil-a, and I ate some Panang curry for four meals this week. And I would love love love some green chile turkey stuffed sopapillas right now!🤣

So far this pregnancy I haven’t been into anything sweet at all! With my first I wanted ALL the sweet things - especially peanut m&ms. This time around just the thought of something sweet makes me more nauseous 🤢

@izza2 That was me for my first pregnancy! I couldn't eat anything sweeter than fresh fruit until well into my second trimester and then got diagnosed with GD. So I got like a month of sweets 🙃

Hello everyone! I'm looking for some creative advice! I have my first appointment coming up and at that time I will be 8 weeks, 2 days. I really would like my husband to go, but the tricky part is we both work for his father and we have chosen to not tell anyone until close to 12 weeks. Anybody have any creative cover ups or excuses to use to ask for an afternoon off without causing any red flags?! I'm at a loss!! Help!!

@AmMcc I had thought of that! I have mentioned previously that we are wanting to go on a big grocery shopping trip. But I'm thinking if I tell him (Father-in-law) we are taking off at 12 on a Friday to do it, he might wonder why or try to make us wait until Saturday.
