Why My Pregnant Self Is Crying: February

Constantly crying around here.

Re: Why My Pregnant Self Is Crying: February

  • The third graders at my school had a visit from a brass quartet from our local orchestra. They just played We Don't Talk About Bruno and all the kids were singing along and I can hear it all from my office and could not stop crying. The tears were flowing when they all yelled "Isabella your boyfriend's here." It was just SO SWEET.

  • My daughter is currently loving these Sesame Street "Happy Birthday" music videos, and sometimes she puts on the "4 years old" video. :bawling: I am not ready for her to turn 4 in like...five and half months. The first time she played it I gave her a huge hug and tried to explain that time moves extra fast for grownups and although I'm excited for her to grow up, I'm sad that she won't be 3 anymore...and then I tried to stand up, but she refused to let go of me. :bawling:

I got my Covid booster at my doctor’s recommendation yesterday and I am MISERABLE today. I only slept until 4:30 and then couldn’t get comfortable to go back to sleep because everything was hurting. Hoping this nap in a quiet house I’m about to take will help!
  • @ashleyp625 I got mine in the first trimester and was SO miserable the day after. Definitely had a fever and everything ached. I feel for you—hope you feel better soon!

My boss pulled me into her office the other day to tell me that a patient had complained about body odor 🥴 I couldn’t smell anything and my coworker who is around me all day said that she couldn’t smell anything and said I probably had a smelly patient before the one that complained so they just blamed it on me but I still cried about it when I got home and now i’m hyper vigilant about how I smell 🫠
  • @courtney701 thank you! Feeling much better today. It was a rough weekend!
  • My husband wanted to throw out a stool that I thrifted for $5 3 years ago that’s been sitting in the basement 😂 proceeded to hysterically cry for at least an hour
  • Today I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and kept it together while talking to the nurse and calling my insurance to find out which glucometers they cover. But I burst into tears hours later when I realized that I probably won’t be able to eat any (or many) of the Girl Scout cookies I ordered weeks ago but won’t arrive for another week or two. DH was very sweet and told me we could freeze them for after delivery, but I’m still sad about it.
  • @courtney701 I completely lost it in the office when I got diagnosed at 9 weeks. It’s hard but you can do this!!
  • Sometimes just feeling her move makes me cry. I'm so happy! (Most of the time) Feeling her kick and roll just reminds me that she's ok. As a labor nurse I know too much of what can go wrong, so it's very emotional for me!
  • The cat threw up yesterday and it sent me sobbing
  • Pregnancy dreams.  They are so strange and vivid.  Mine keep having people trying to murder each other.
