Ugh the pains from trying to sleep differently! My hips have been hurting so bad and the other night I tweaked my neck somehow while trying to sleep on my left side and it sends pain all the way down my arm into my hand😫 this has happened before and ibuprofen is the only thing that would take care of it and now I can’t take it so I’ve been sitting in an Epsom salt bath all morning🙃
My uterus has definitely grown in the last week. My appetite has been huge and I was able to sleep on my stomach/side of my stomach and I can’t do that now. It’s very uncomfortable.
@ccmrc143 THE HIP PAIN SUCKS. I was literally up every hour last night with it. The only thing that even kind of helps is to shove my body pillow between my thighs (little bit of a cheap thrill I guess?) and give a little more surface area for the weight to land since it makes my thigh more flush with my hip. But man is it uncomfortable.
I've also had the restless legs! I had them before pregnancy but it's definitely worse now. Mostly happens in the evening before going to bed. Same here with the hip pain too, which sucks because side sleeping is the only comfortable thing. I thought about getting a squishy matress topper but don't know if that'll help!
I’m waiting for that 2nd trimester boost of energy… 15 weeks in 2 days and I’m just as tired as week 8-10. Took a two hour nap, had seven hours of sleep last night, and still super tired. Thankfully napped while my toddler napped 👌🏻
I’m exhausted. Still only have small moments of really wanting a particular food but otherwise I just don’t care. I had some energy last weekend and got a lot done. But this week I just want to nap all week. Where’s the 2nd tri energy?
Rage today has been unreal. I hate myself like this. Everything DH and DS and the dog do just makes me angry. I don’t like feeling so angry all the time and I need to stop showing how angry I am.
I’ve been MIA this week, but add me to restless legs and hip pain. I don’t remember hip pain so early or persistent last time. I’ve reached the point of no more stomach sleeping and side sleeping is me just flipping myself and my extra leg pillow over and over again like a pancake when one hip hurts too much or one arm goes dead. Especially my left hip. It’s hurting mildly all day, but worse at night
Round ligament pain is definitely happening. It is so foreign for me to have these symptoms so much earlier in this pregnancy than my first. Definitely going to take some getting used to.
I’m also in the hip pain boat. I’ve actually been wondering how long I can hold out until I bring my pregnancy pillows into bed. They really do help with me adjusting to a better angle, but it takes up so much space. And DS has been needing a lot of nighttime cuddles right now and coming into my bed often, and I won’t have room for him to do that if I have the pregnancy pillows out. So I’m trying to avoid it as long as possible.
I hope everyone feeling yucky this past week is improving. I’ve been keeping pedialyte popsicles in the freezer at home and work which has been beneficial when the nausea kicks back in.
Oh! And I recently started taking colace for my horrible constipation. It’s such a game changer. It’s helped me feel better and I wish I had started it sooner.
So yesterday afternoon I was helping a friend paint her basement and when I was painting I got a headache but I wasn’t sure if it was from the paint or my sore neck from looking up so much but went home in case. Later I took some Tylenol and then started having chest pain so I freaked out because what if it was the paint and went to the ER. Turns out I have pill induced GERD which I guess is just acid reflux that’s trigger by pills. They also diagnosed me with HG. So, fun night! I just started feeling better too and I feel like I just haven’t been able to catch a break this whole pregnancy as far as feeling terrible goes.
Anyone else suddenly get hit with the urge to nest?? I apparently decided today was perfect to organize my daughter’s toys (granted my living room was an utter disaster) but the nesting has evidently begun.
@gingermama29 ive been nesting for the past week. I live in a small 1 bedroom and we’re not thinking of moving until a few years. I cleared out my dressers and closets and space bagged and stored in containers my clothes and jackets that don’t fit anymore. Then I realized I have decorative pillows that I’ll never use. Then comforters and blankets I’ll never need. My bedroom is emptying but everything is sitting in the living room ready for it to get stored in storage outside of the apt.
We don’t have enough storage and only two closets in the whole apt so we’re going to invest in a bed with storage since my sleighbed is also too low to store anything under it. But yes nesting started now for me!
@ccmrc143 yeah they filled a zofran prescription for me to take if needed. I’m not sure if I’ll end up using it or not, there was some like recent find of birth defects or something with its use so I want to do a bit more research on that to decide what direction I want to go.
@justyouraveragemama It’s safe in the second trimester because all the organs have been formed. It’s only an issue if taken in the first trimester and it’s been possibly linked to heart defects and cleft palate. At least that’s what one of my OBs from a previous pregnancy told me.
I am barely into my second trimester and I have felt just awful the last few days. My first trimester was pretty easy, I was only nauseous for a few weeks early on and it was never very strong. Now I feel super tired and nauseous until about 4 PM, when I may get enough energy to get out of bed and do some chores. I don't think I'm sick because my temperature is normal and I haven't been around other people much lately. It just seems like all the classic first trimester symptoms are hitting me hard now! Has this ever happened to anyone else? Everything I read about nausea in the 2TM is people that were also sick in the 1TM.
@knottie904cd414d5705bd1 I wasn't sick at all during the first trimester, the only times I've gotten worse nausea and vomiting have been in the second trimester! Not sure what's triggered it but every pregnancy is different with these symptoms. Just trying to stay hydrated and eat enough throughout the day!
