Less Far than I thought?

Based on my last period/ovulation date, I should’ve been 6 w 4 d pregnant. I went to the ER for abdominal discomfort and they did an US. It showed a yolk Sak and a gestational sac, but no fetal pole. I was told based on the US I was 5 w 3 d along and that it was normal not to see a fetal pole.
Is it possible that I’m earlier than I thought, or am I about to m/c? My HCG was at over 2,000 IU/L too. I’m so scared as it’s my first pregnancy and I want it to work so much. Hugs and baby dust to all <3

First off, we don’t do baby dust here out of respect for mothers who have had to.cremate their babies.

Secondly, it depends on how you are tracking your ovulation. If you are just counting 14 days from the start of your period you likely ovulated later than that and will be fine. If you are monitoring your ovulation with temping or even LH strips and have confirmation of when you ovulated it could mean bad things. But time will tell and I’m not a doctor.

I will say I did not have a good outcome when I was measuring behind at my 8 week ultrasound. My embryo stopped growing around 6w no heartbeat at the follow up ultrasound at 9w and has a d&c to facilitate the MC.

Yeah, if you weren’t formally tracking ovulation, it’s hard to say. The wait is the worst and unfortunately it can go either way. Good luck.

Hey there-
Just wondering if you have an update?
I went through something similar last week- went for US when I thought I was 6w4d and we only say the GS and YS, no improvement from the prior week. Only difference was my GS grew 3mm in 8 days. My hCG is rising very slow as well x
