Hello! I am 28 weeks pregnant. Yesterday I had an ultrasound to check to see if a placenta previa had cleared (it had, yay), but when I was there they found 3.5mm of fluid around my baby's heart, called a pericardial effusion. The midwife said this is often not a cause for concern, but that I will need a fetal echocardiogram. They seem to be dragging their feet a little in ordering this follow up ultrasound, and I am just wondering if anyone has had this experience, how urgent it was, and what your results were? I am having some difficulty finding a ton of information on the internet, and just feeling worried. Thank you!
