  • What habits, goals, or resolutions are you focusing on this week/year?
Trying to eat beans every day now lol

How's everything going? Any recent wins?
The biggest win would be the BFP!

What has you motivated or struggling?
Fear, I've always felt so ready to have a child and now I'm so terrified that it might actually happen

  • What habits, goals, or resolutions are you focusing on this week/year?
This pregnancy was a surprise after infertility. So I was looking forward to weaning and finally losing the last 10-15 lbs of baby weight. But since finding out Im pregnant, Ive had bronchitis, sinusitis and now nausea and have already gained 3lbs because eating is the only thing that helps my nausea. Im really trying to enjoy this pregnancy and not be so worried about my weight. but its so hard.

How's everything going? Any recent wins?
Ive only been able to walk the last few weeks, but I hope to start an exercise program soon. It really helped me in my last pregnancy.

What has you motivated or struggling?
Its so hard to exercise when you are tired, nauseous and have a toddler. By the time I get home, feed her, myself get her ready for bed, Im exhausted. And waking up earlier is hard because I already have to get up so early for work and daycare.
  • What habits, goals, or resolutions are you focusing on this week/year? well, i injured my knee thanksgiving weekend and just have been meh since, i was so good about some type of exercise daily for months. it's amazing how once you fall off you can really get derailed. i have done one peloton ride in december, none in jan. need to try and get back on.

How's everything going? Any recent wins? i did get a walking pad for my office for christmas, so now the three days i go in it is super easy to get 10k steps. i can get in about 3 miles on an hour conference call. so i'm glad i'm moving in some capacity.

What has you motivated or struggling? @chartput same issues re motivation in the morning. i'm not a morning person, but i also can't exercise at night or i won't sleep. once i start forcing myself to form a habit to get up at 530 it is worth it. but ugh.
  • What habits, goals, or resolutions are you focusing on this week/year? My goal this year is to finally make a will. I hope to have it done by March.

How's everything going? Any recent wins? I’ve also been re-evaluating all of our insurance policies and thanks to my hours of meetings and answering questions, we are going to save $3000/year on house insurance. And our life insurance premiums have also been re-adjusted and gone down.

What has you motivated or struggling?
I’m struggling with exhaustion. I have a 2 year old and a 3 month old. Not having any energy and feeling nauseous and irritable all day is difficult. Still getting up 2-3 times a night to feed the baby and my 2 year old is a busy little thing.

  • What habits, goals, or resolutions are you focusing on this week/year?
staying active and eating healthy this whole pregnancy and afterward

How's everything going? Any recent wins?
i have stayed consistent working out daily and eating healthy. I have felt way more energetic getting up super early and have been way more productive throughout the day

What has you motivated or struggling?
to just stay healthy and be healthy for baby and not gain a ton of weight. Staying active has helped me postpartum with previous pregnancies so I know it pays off and helps so much in the long run.
  • What habits, goals, or resolutions are you focusing on this week/year? Staying active. Walking, prenatal yoga, other prenatal workouts. But I'm also going to try not to be too hard on myself if the nausea sets in hard. Then my goal will just be to get by.

How's everything going? Any recent wins? It's going okay. I missed yesterday's workout because I need to go get blood work after work. I workout at 5pm and if I miss it I'm not good at making it up at another time. Such is life.

What has you motivated or struggling? I know I feel better when active, so I just keep trying to remind myself of that to stay motivated.
  • @jennaverhaeghe I work in estate planning and drafted a will for myself before DD was born almost 4 years ago but never finished it because I couldn't decide on guardians. You reminded me that I should revisit this.
  • What habits, goals, or resolutions are you focusing on this week/year? Well, for pregnancy, I've been really trying to wean off the caffeine. I'm a diet/zero soda drinker on the regular. To the point where I can have a can right before rolling into bed and it won't phase me. My RE wanted me to cut back a ton but I agreed to go with the accepted limit in pregnancy (200 mg or less a day). I started that a couple days before my transfer at the beginning of the month.

How's everything going? Any recent wins? I've been doing OK with staying "around" 200 mg (I figure there is some buffer room calculated in there). Usually try to aim for below. I've started a habit this week of going to pick up a 20 oz bottle of my favorite drink (cherry coke zero!) in the morning. It has 74 mg caffeine according to the package. I'll nurse that for most of the morning which helps keep the number pretty low. I guess having to wear a mask at work helps too...

What has you motivated or struggling?  I feel so thirsty (no, I don't have any endocrine issues!). I think I got really used to drinking lots of fluid throughout the day! I polished off a liter of diet ginger ale really quickly. I'm not sure if I am really physically thirsty, more psychologically craving a drink. Water just isn't doing it...
  • What habits, goals, or resolutions are you focusing on this week/year?
These weeks are HARD with nausea/ vomiting of pregnancy. I also deal with constant headaches and fatigue, which is no fun. I had COVID last week complete with the fevers and all, so pretty worried about this pregnancy. Literally, just trying to give myself as much grace as possible, and put the productivity on hold. Just get by.

How's everything going? Any recent wins?
Oh, not going great. Haven't worked out since COVID (and now recovering but bad morning sickness). I'm typically someone that works out daily. Diet is poor, I'm in the camp of eating to curb the nausea/ feelings of death. But I have no taste, no smell, and no appetite.

What has you motivated or struggling?
Feeling like crap is a struggle. I was excited to see a heartbeat the other day, but still super worried with the fevers I had and what that could mean for the pregnancy/ baby.

    I can't wait til march!
  • @jennaverhaeghe
I know I should think about that at some point.

    @litzi-2

If it's any comfort, I know moms in my practice who got covid during pregnancy and none of them had any issues. And while it's not the same illness, my best friend got a bad case of the flu early in her pregnancy and her little girl was just fine!

  • @mrs_marmalade thats so good to hear, thank you. its hard to feel so terrible and wonder if there's something terribly wrong anyway. *trying* to be optimistic. yesterday i did a prenatal workout, which was essentially some squats, and that made me start spotting. my body hates life right now!
  • @litzi-2 I had Covid very early during my last pregnancy - we lost our daughter due to T21, so nothing to do with Covid, and it didn’t have any impact on my pregnancy. I also had the flu pretty badly in the early weeks of my pregnancy with my son, who is now 4, without any complications.

  • What habits, goals, or resolutions are you focusing on this week/year?
Working out in general, and even more so running, is very therapeutic to me, and has been a big part of my normal routine as long as I’ve been an adult. After my MC last month, I’ve been VERY nervous - haven’t run since the beginning of the TWW, have only done a few super low impact peloton cycling classes in the last week.

How's everything going? Any recent wins?
Trying to slowly get back into my normal workout routine, as I feel more comfortable.

What has you motivated or struggling?
Mostly just unfoundedly paranoid. 😏 But PGAL isn’t easy, so I’m not beating myself up or anything, I just know I feel better with the outlet of working out.

  •  What habits, goals, or resolutions are you focusing on this week/year?
After my last MC, I cut caffeine to 2 cups of tea a day. I want to get back into working out but I can’t yet. Eventually I will. I’d also like to bake some more as it makes me happy.

How's everything going? Any recent wins?
Well, being sick has me unmotivated and unable to do much but we’re getting there.

What has you motivated or struggling?
Well, my last pregnancy, I worked out on Monday and then Tuesday morning, started bleeding so I probably won’t workout until after 1st trimester. I’m too paranoid and afraid to do so.

  • What habits, goals, or resolutions are you focusing on this week/year? Eating more fiber and iron!

How's everything going? Any recent wins?
saw heartbeat at 6 weeks, having another US at 8 weeks on Tuesday. Super nervous though.

What has you motivated or struggling?
Also having some anxiety/fear. We haven’t told anybody yet, and the worries I have about this pregnancy have been hard not to share with my mom or best friend. And also having to lie/dodge plans with friends (like after work drinks) has been harder than I thought! We will tell them soon I think, but want to have one more US first. We’ve waited so long to have a successful pregnancy, and I’m slightly terrified it’s actually happening. My hubby has been so supportive though, and I’ve really just been praying for God to help ease my anxieties, because I know He is with us every step of the way.
  • @runningyogimama thank you for sharing! every time i hear a positive story with covid/ illness early in pregnancy its like a little light in the day. losing one to T21 or anything is just, unbelievably painful though. I'm sorry. I hear you on the decreasing impact. I wish I was a runner, but just do cardio and weights at home. Each pregnancy I have to cut back all lower body because it makes me bleed. I mean, even squats. its the worst, exercise is my outlet, too.
@wanderlustsoul have to tried some super easy workouts? i do some 10 minute prenatal ones on obe fitness and some are literally just laying on your side lifting a leg, lol. I figure it counts...
