How are you feeling? Other than increased bowel movements (sorry tmi), I have no real other symptoms. So I’m fine for now. 

Raves/Rants: I feel my throat getting sore again and I’m still not over my cough from having the flu 2 weeks ago. And both kids are sick. Poor littlest one has a 39 degree fever and a raspy cough.

oooh. I like to travel. My top 2 were Cape Town and we did a safari and then Madrid where I got engaged.

How are you feeling? Good. Sense of smell is through the roof, and I'm starving nonstop. trying to calorie load incase nausea sets in. Sore boobs and bloat which is prob magnified by the 400mg of vaginal progesterone i'm on.

GTKY: What’s the best vacation you’ve ever taken? (thanks for the question august board!) oh geez, this is really hard to answer. i'm extremely fortunate to have traveled a ton. as a child - the Orient Express out of Venice probably. just a truly magical experience. as an adult, oof this is tough. probably Yacht Week in the BVIs. nothing like living on 42ft catamaran with your friends cruising the islands for a week with like 10 other boats of young professionals.

Hubs and I took our 4yo son to Waco last year to visit my mom and her other half (we love him too) and we just had a fun time all around... zoos, wild animal park, outdoor time, hubs and I went to a Cody Johnson concert while we were there. It was just a really good trip

How are you feeling? Exhausted and starving. This is my first pregnancy out of 6 where I’m not nauseous 24/7, so…that’s unnerving, but I know it can be totally normal.

GTKY: What’s the best vacation you’ve ever taken?(thanks for the question august board!
My ILs took me along with them on their family vacation to St Croix when my husband and I were first dating back in college and basically still children. It was so peaceful and beautiful and calm!

@runningyogimama same for me with the nausea. I know I’m still super early so it will likely come but feels weird. With DS2, the nausea was why I tested and lasted into 2nd trimester. 

So exciting to see so many others that are team green!

How are you feeling? Had a lot of nausea this past weekend, but starting to mellow out. Breasts still hurt, super emotional, little cramping here and there.

Raves/Rants: None right now but changes every hour or so LOL

Hmm best vacation would have to be a roadtrip my dh and I took last summer- NJ to Nashville while stopping in Shenandoah National Park & Smoky Mountains. Incredible views, sightseeing and just loved being on the road. Hoping to take this little one on future adventures with us

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Team unsure yet. We found out with DH but that was IVF and we had genetic testing done of the embryo.

How are you feeling? Nausea is at a 10, but all I can do is dry heave. Its the worst, tired, mild headache and I keep having miscarriage dreams.

My best vacation was to Maui. Ive been 3-4 times, the last was on our honeymoon

Upcoming appointments: Had our first appt yesterday with an NP to go over wellness and what to expect. Wasn’t supposed to have an US, but I was spotting over the weekend and got nervous so they gave me one. Got to see our little peanut and a heartbeat! Was insanely emotional. Next appt is in 4 weeks with my OB

How are you feeling?: Soooo tired, waves of nausea brought on by strong smells, sore breasts, have to pee every 5 mins, and I cry over everything lol 

Raves/Rants: When will the crying stop??? I’ve never cried so much in my life over people I don’t know 

Questions: Anyone ever change jobs while pregnant? Advice on that would be helpful - I’m super miserable in my current position and have been interviewing for a new one but I know it’s going to complicate things like insurance and benefits.

Probably our honeymoon to Aruba this past September. Splurged on the Ritz and it was worth every penny!

How are you feeling? Still super super nervous! I'm generally fine now other than peeing every 1-2 hours and being extremely thirsty. Yesterday I tried eating onions (one of my favorite veggies) and they were crazy super spicy, making my nose hurt! DH tried them and said they were normal and then got excited "You must be getting that pregnancy thing!"

Raves/Rants: nothing oddly, still in too much disbelief

GTKY: What’s the best vacation you’ve ever taken? Iceland! When my DH and I first met and started dating, we took a trip to Iceland with 3 friends and it was amazing! We rented a car and stayed in a cute cottage house in the countryside. Every day, we took day trips to hike or see waterfalls. Also, the trip itself was super cheap since we also cooked our own food! Even the flight was only $200 round trip per person!

How are you feeling? Fine. Some mild cramps and really thirsty. Trying to enjoy everything I eat now in the event everything starts tasting really terrible in the next few weeks. 

Raves/Rants: I'm going to need to find a new obgyn after my ultrasound because my current doctor stopped doing obstetrics and is only doing gynecology. I'm bummed because she was my doctor throughout my last pregnancy and I really liked her and she knows all my history and stuff. Hopefully I'll be happy with my next one too.

GTKY: What’s the best vacation you’ve ever taken?(thanks for the question august board!) I don't travel a ton but will have to say my honeymoon. We took two weeks and spent the first week hiking throughout Arizona then drove to San Diego and did a bunch of hiking there too along with beachy and touristy stuff.

GTKY: What’s the best vacation you’ve ever taken?
DH and I went to Italy the week before Christmas. It’s the first longer trip we’ve taken together without the boys, and was his first time in Europe. It was just so nice to do whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted without any sort of schedule.

EDD/Weeks + days: 9/22/23.  Only 4 weeks and 6 days here.

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green:  The embryo was tested and we know it's a girl!

Upcoming appointments: None yet. Third blood test tomorrow and if that's good they'll schedule an ultrasound for around 6-7 weeks according to the nurse. I had my second blood test yesterday and it was 1295, up from 726 on 1/16. 78.4% increase according to the calculator. My nurse says that's a great increase. I guess so? I thought it was supposed to double in 48 hours.  

How are you feeling? Still nervous and tired. It's hard to work!!! I just want to sit down and stare at my computer. But if I sit too long, I end up googling and that's not good for me either lol

Raves/Rants: I know that I've been sick a lot less since mask wearing became mandatory in my office (it still is) but ugh, it's so annoying sometime, especially since it fits just under my glasses and leaves a mark on my face if I keep it on tightly. We're also in the thick of cold/flu season with the kids so basically everyone is coughing in my face -- so I guess I shouldn't complain....

Questions: Do you ever stop feeling nervous? 

GTKY: What’s the best vacation you’ve ever taken? Probably to London where we took a train out to see Hampton Court Palace! I'm a Tudor nerd and it was so amazing to actually be there. Tower of London was cool too but Hampton Court just felt really special.

I'm prone to tension headaches in general. Now I can't take ibuprofen and I've been trying to avoid tylenol...this is awful!

@daniellesubler In 2021 when I was pregnant with my daughter I started a new job and a week later did our IVF transfer. Thats the closest Ive got to your situation. I wasn't going to tell them until after the second trimester, but ended up having an emergency appendectomy at 10 weeks, so sort of needed to then. It ended up being totally fine. I didn't qualify for fmla, but still got the short term disability for six weeks and still ended up taking 12 weeks off.
