Looking for more tips n tricks to help build a steady milk supply. I’m so drained this time around and I really don’t want to quit. I don’t remember it being like this 5 years ago with my son. My supply was much better. Any tips??
I had a moment where I feared for my supply as well! Increasing my water intake (8-10 glasses a day) and eating like I’m training for a marathon really helped a lot! Also, those lactation cookies/bars you can get from Amazon or Target really do help! You might also try some power pumping to jump start things if you have a breast pump, that helped me a lot as well. Then continue to pump periodically throughout the day to really stimulate your production. Good luck!! You can do this!
I've been using a haaka manual pump on the opposite breast when breastfeeding from the first week and it's helped me a ton on establishing and maintaining a very good Milk supply. Also got a nice freezer stash going. Baby is 3 weeks old today and i have lots of milk! That pump is very easy to use and very affordable on Amazon. I would really recommend using something like it or another pump in between feedings to up your supply.
