Extremely high HCG level

Hi all,
So this is a long one.
2 days ago I got my first HCG reading. I was exactly 4 weeks and 6 days (I know because I tracked ovulation) and my HCG level was 15,000! Doctors have gaslit me saying that HCG levels vary greatly. I get that, but every piece of literature says that at that time even 7,000 is on the extreme side of “normal for week 5 (I was shy of one day being up to week 5) So I am almost 3 times higher than the extreme “norm”.

Doc doesn’t want to do anything about it atm. I have thought about pushing for a scan but I’m reading at 5 weeks 1 day (what I am today) having a scan is kind of useless as it’s too hard to really see anything. I found out I was pregnant at 3 weeks and 1 day (so implanted fairy early). For the last 6-7 days I’ve been having a full ache which is about a 3-4/10 in pain. I never had that in my last pregnancy. Doctors don’t want to do a scan but I could always turn up the drama to get one if i thought it was worthwhile… I’ve been stressing myself out about Down syndrome or a molar pregnancy as very high hcg can sometimes indicate those things. The other thing is multiples which doesn’t run in my family but I know it is still possible. So far I’ve found pregnancy stressful and can’t seem to put my mind to rest. Thoughts about whether I should push for a scan?
