How are you feeling?: good! It’s been a whole week since I last threw up I think? Sometimes my heartburn is so bad, it can make my ears hurt.
Rants/Raves: Feeling baby movements! First time around it took until 20 weeks to feel anything at all with an anterior placenta, and 24+ before I could feel it every day. Lately I’ve been feeling something every other day. Sometimes I’m not sure if I’m just feeling my aorta though, lol.
    Questions: Nope

My great aunt came to live in our town after she got Alzheimer’s, and because I only knew her with memory loss I didn’t have to grieve knowing her without it. I thought she was so cool when I was a kid and enjoyed coaxing new stories out of her (mostly about how my grandfather, her younger brother, was an annoying sibling 🤣). She was born in 1912 which is the same year the Titanic sank.

GTKY: Who was the oldest family member or friend you can remember/have met—who is the person you have known with the earliest birthday? If you know the year they were born, name a historic thing that happened that year. I’m sure I have met people older, but my mom’s mom is the one I can remember. She was born in 1917 (I think) and was just the most fun grandma to a little kid. We had so many tea parties with a miniature real china tea set and apple juice because I didn’t like tea at age 6 lol. In 1917, the US declared war on Germany for the start of our engagement in WWI.

How are you feeling?: pretty good! Just dizzy a lot, which they say is normal, but it’s very annoying.
Rants/Raves: just the dizzy. Man I love feeling her move around in there! She was so wiggly at the anatomy scan yesterday.

I think my grandma, who was born in 1937. I think my dad’s parents might have been older, but I’m not sure?

How are you feeling?: Still pretty awful. I threw up dinner today, so that was fun. I'm getting a sore throat too, so really hoping I'm not getting sick before Christmas!
Rants/Raves: Pretty much just the above
    Questions: Not today
GTKY: Who was the oldest family member or friend you can remember/have met—who is the person you have known with the earliest birthday? If you know the year they were born, name a historic thing that happened that year. Hmm, good question. My grandfather, who passed away when I was a teen, was born in 1915.

Baby is the size of a: endive
    Team blue/pink/green: blue!
Upcoming Appointments: telephone appt sometime next month
How are you feeling?: Worn out. I've been sick for the last month with back-to-back colds and sinus infections. My OBGYN said if I got another sinus infection that lasted more than a few days, he'd give me antibiotics. Looks like I'm calling him on Monday.
    Rants/Raves:
Rave: DD, DH, and I had a blast making Christmas cookies yesterday. (I'll tolerate being under the weather if it means DD is healthy right now.)
Rant: I can't wear any eye makeup to Christmas Eve tonight because I wiped my eye with a germy hand last night, and now it's red. :unamused:
Questions: Is anyone else getting/staying sicker more easily than usual? I know this is a historically bad sick season, but I haven't had a sinus infection since I was a little kid, and I'm pretty sure I'm getting them again because I'm pregnant.
GTKY: Who was the oldest family member or friend you can remember/have met—who is the person you have known with the earliest birthday? If you know the year they were born, name a historic thing that happened that year. I love this question! Despite my great-grandfather dying before my mom was born, our family stayed connected to some of his siblings like my Aunt Jo (born 1906) and Uncle Tony (born 1910). Uncle Tony was like the grandfather my mom never had.
In 1906, Teddy Roosevelt was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, and in 1910, the first public radio broadcast took place. (According to Wikipedia, that happened just one day before my Uncle Tony was born!)
