Baby's head is down now...

Googled and it says baby's head usually turns down between 32 and 36 weeks. Just wondering if it's ok that I'm 31 weeks and my baby's head is already down.

Re: Baby's head is down now...

  • Yep! Most babies are head down before 32 weeks, and they flip back and forth a lot up until then. There’s no real harm in being either direction, or even transverse, at this stage.

The significance of turning head down between 32 and 36 weeks is important for people like me, whose babies are breech at 32 weeks. After 36-37 weeks, they’re unlikely to turn because there’s less space to do it. It stresses me out a little bit, because breech presentation means either trying to mechanically turn him at 36-37 weeks (not likely with an anterior placenta) or a C-section.
