The night I found out I was pregnant I only had the thought of oh maybe I should test because at dinner we were having our weekly roast chicken and it wasn’t appetizing to me. But before that I had to drop dinner of to my SO who was working at his for fun side job the liquor store and they were having a sampling night so I got roped into trying all the things, came back home, took the test and expected it to be negative but instead it was positive😬 I still feel guilty lol
I’m finishing my coworkers holiday gifts that are due in an hour and a half when I go to work. 😬 Not sure I’ll make it, and I’d also like to shower. My 3 year old is still asleep, for now, luckily
@justyouraveragemama if it helps, the baby isn't taking any nutrition from us until the placenta starts to form. I think even know they are still working off of their yolk sack? So drinking this early in pregnancy shouldn't do anything to the fetus. Hell a lot of us here right now know a lot sooner than some people. Don't let the guilt eat you up so much about a tasting
@stashattack it’s a completely irrational guilt because like I know it probably didn’t do anything, I think I’m just anxious for everything to turn out okay
We had my favorite Italian takeout last night for dinner and I sipped on two tablespoons of red wine from an old NyQuil dosing cup along with my meal.
@justyouraveragemama with my first, we tailgated the Saturday before I found out (a Tuesday) and we were doing cider bombs (like Jaeger bombs but with hard cider and spiced rum, SO much better in fall or any time really) and by game time I was faaaaairly cheerful. Super responsible? No, probably not, but it didn't even occur to me I might be pregnant...as would be the case for most people, I'd guess. It'll be ok!
@justyouraveragemama totally normal to feel anxious. Reminds me of the time my friend went to a bachelorette the weekend before she found out she was pregnant. Baby is 2 now, fine and healthy, but it goes to show, it happens often (and a lot of times unknowingly!)
@wendy838 do we have the same friend?😂 one of my friends did the same thing and her daughter is fine so that was the first thing I told myself after I realized what happens lol
