I’m probably jinxing myself, but with all the gross viruses and bugs going around I’m thankful for our health! No one in my family has been sick since we had Covid in September. Seems like everyone I know, especially families with little kids, are sick continuously!

I’m thankful to be home from our babymoon. It was the longest I’ve been away from DD. We had a great time, despite DH being there primarily for work (at least we had the weekend!), but I’m happy to be home. The jet lag is real and I was dragging big time today. I can also tell DD really misses DH (he left a few days before me to head there and will not get home until Saturday). It was a little funny to have a slight sunburn while out in freezing rain this morning haha nothing says welcome home and back to reality like winter weather.
Thankful my mom was able to make it today for my sons first Christmas party at his daycare. He didn’t sing a single word but he didn’t cry either so I’m calling it a success.
@iiirene Sounds like a win to me! Do your parents live far away? My immediate family is three hours, and I’m already worried that they won’t be able to be involved as I would want them to be.
@v_flowers My parents are 2.5 hours away. It is important to all of us that they are pretty involved in my kids’ lives. My older brother has two children and we were never able to be a part of their lives beyond birthdays and Christmas due to a variety of reasons but the main one being that my brothers ex wives are not very good people in my opinion. My in laws live across the country and we do our very best to make sure they are as involved as they can possibly be as well. If it’s important to you and your family you find a way to make it work.
