Triggered at 13 MM and now 4 new smaller follicles?

Ladies I need help. Went in for Cycle Monitoring Monday. They said I had one follicle 13 mm. Dr called me and said I surged and thinks I ovulated and she triggered me. So early.... then today I went to do cm again to check ovulation and now have 4 follicles smaller than the 13.. I'm so frustrated any insight I'd appreciate. Then the dr assistant called me said I think you ovulated couple of days ago. But then... I asked how come I'd have 4 new follicles she said it's normal? 🤔

hi @ellebelle0808 we normally don't do one-off posts like this on this board, but it's the kind of question that would be perfect for our under-used Chart stalk/Questions thread. but since you're here, it's important to know that our bodies produce follicles throughout the cycle, not just at the beginning. they're just kind of constantly turning up and then disappearing. so it is not surprising to have new (and especially small) follicles arrive on-scene. most will not do anything (unless you're doing IVF and being pumped full of drugs). assuming you're doing IUI, i'm surprised your doctor triggered you so early. 13mm is pretty tiny, although some women tend to have smaller mature follicles.
