Has anybody had mastitis early? Went to the doctor today and she said it looks and feels like mastitis. She prescribed me some antibiotics but I find it weird since I’m not breast feeding yet but she said it feels like I’m lactating but I haven’t even see any spotting of milk yet on my nipples

I've had mastitis twice, it's a tricky thing to go through! I've a friend who developed mastitis about a year after giving birth, when she hadn't breastfed at all. Apparently it's something that can happen to any woman, it's just a lot less likely to occur outside of the breastfeeding window. Hopefully the antibiotics clear it up quickly and you're back to your normal self in no time.
