Travelling?

Are you travelling during pregnancy? If so, how far along? How far (distance wise away from home)?

I would like to know if travelling 7-8 hours each way would be OK. My husband will be driving and I will be the passenger.

What are your concerns? As far as I know the only usual restrictions your provider might give you are when you’re 36+ weeks or if you’re high risk. I think usual advice would be to make sure you move your legs (think foot pumps) and/or wear compression socks and/or stop and walk around every 2-3 hrs to prevent any blood clots…but I don’t even know if that’s a concern until you’re in the second or third trimester.

I’m traveling to Australia from Canada - 24 hours of flight in total - so quite a trip. Leaving from week 17 to week 20 pregnancy. Woo!
