This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ballgame. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this as an ongoing conversation.
Diagnosis (if you've been):
Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched):
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?):
How are things going?:
Any questions?:
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning, or for date night?
Re: IF Testing & Treatment - week of Nov 28
Diagnosis (if you've been): old, decrepit, lonely ovary and a stitched up uterus
Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): benched while i wait for FET
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): waiting and on BCP
How are things going?: fairly fine? things are feeling pretty abstract on the reproduction front right now, but i guess that won't last long once the shots begin. i need to call my clinic today and ask them for a proper calendar and also insist that they redo all my bloodwork even though it's technically less than a year since i last did it.
Any questions?: nah
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning, or for date night? i am officially a 5-minute and ready kind of person, with 4 of those minutes being spent looking for my keys. i don't do makeup, my hair is whatever it happens to be that day, and the fanciest i get is a pair of earrings.Oct '21 somewhat improved AMH (.51) and significantly improved FSH (8.9). Maybe it's all the pills I swallow.
Dec -21, standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 5; 11 days of stims. retrieval yields 5, 4M, 2 reach day-6 blast (4AB & 4BB). 1 low-level mosaic (chr. 3 deletion), 1 complex abnormal.
Feb '22 FET (low-level mosaic): CP.
May '22 egg retrieval, lupron flare protocol. HGH priming for 1 month before stims; md lupron 20/20u daily; menopur 225, follistim 225, 10k trigger after 8 days of stims; AFC 10; 13 retrieved; 10 mature; 8 fertilized. All frozen at 2PN for later thaw, grow, and biopsy.
July '22 egg retrieval same protocol: 9 days of stims; AFC 8; 10 retrieved, 8 mature, 4 fertilized and frozen.
Sept '22 ER same protocol: AFC 10; 12 retrieved, 11 mature, 11 fertilized.
From the 3 retrievals, 7 survived to day 5-6 blastocyst, from which I have 2 normal embryos!
Jan 20, Fully medicated FET, baby aspirin, dexamethasone, acupuncture, and as much woo as I can stand (which isn't very much). BFN.
July 23, Natural FET + baby aspirin. BFN.
Diagnosis (if you've been): uncooperative uterus/RPL
Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): it's FW! we are getting, ahem, horizontal.
How are things going?: i am exhausted, couldn't fall asleep until 1.30am. and i just realized its about 1.30pm and i haven't had lunch. oops. just cranking through work over here, super busy monday after the long weekend.
Any questions?: natm
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning, or for date night? oh this depends, am i washing my hair? if yes, i need about 30min. if no, 10. i've gotten quite good at a quick basic make up routine. i will put a little more effort in for a date night, eyeliner and maybe some lipstick. i did treat myself to the dyson airwrap last month and i am LOVING it. if i use it to curl my hair it just wears really nicely. i only like to wash 2x, maybe 3, a week.Oct '21 somewhat improved AMH (.51) and significantly improved FSH (8.9). Maybe it's all the pills I swallow.

@optimistgardener hopefully getting all your blood work redone won’t be an issue.
@anniemarie887 yay! So glad you’re off the bench! FX for a successful FW!!
Diagnosis (if you've been): PCOS, RPL, prothrombin gene
Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): IUI
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Gonal-F, ovidrel, Endometrin, IUI
How are things going?: Had another monitoring appointment today and things are growing well. I had a follicle at 10ish and another at 12. So I’ll be going back in on Thursday morning for another ultrasound and we are thinking IUI will be on Sunday assuming everything looks how they are expecting. I have my state music education conference on Friday and Saturday in a different city from my clinic so I’m hoping the timeframe we’ve planned works out.
Any questions?: natm
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning, or for date night? Anywhere from 5-30 minutes depending on how much effort I decide to put in. 😂
@gingermama29 I hope the timing all works out! I’ve had to juggle and work around some crazy situations to have IUI’s line up right. My clinic was pretty great about working around whatever I had going on to make sure we could get it done. I hope yours will be too!
Diagnosis (if you've been): retired ovaries, LPD
Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): TI while we wait for IVF with DE
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): nuthin. Wasn’t even going to OPK but I found an old faulty batch. The lines barely show up and/or the ink bleeds. But I guess it’s something
How are things going?: They’re going. I had a better talk with my H. In the end he said he’ll do whatever I want to do. He understands where I’m coming from and my yearning to carry a child, one that’s at least half his. And I understand where his reservations are coming from. He’s terrified of going through anything similar to what we’ve already been through and what it would do to me, mentally. I’m terrified too, but I guess hope outweighs fear?
Any questions?: nope
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning, or for date night? If I’m WFH, like I literally roll out of bed and I’m ready. Lol. Messy bun and all. If I’m going to work and/or need to be on screen, about 20 mins to wash hair and do minimal makeup. For a date night or night out, about 30-40 depending on if I can figure out what to wear.TTC: Sept 2016-Oct 2017

HI FRIENDS!
Diagnosis (if you've been): RPL, MFI, Possible Funky Blood
Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): Benched
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): H is having his varicocele removed which may have contributed to our low fertilization rate, we may have some funky shaped swimmers.
How are things going?: I'm hanging. Its been a hard year of funeral after funeral.
Any questions?: No
