Pregnancy after loss and had a cervical cerclage

I had my baby boy at 18weeks and this pregnancy I was told I would need a cervical cerclage and I had it done and I wanted to know if anyone else has had one and what was your experience? And if you had any after symptoms.

I could have sworn we had a question about cerclages last month...I was going to link it so you had those answers but I can't find it.
Anyway, I personally have not had a cerclage, but my mom had one with me and my sister. Her pregnancies progressed normally after they were placed, but she was not allowed to have intercourse the entire nine months. Her doctor said she would need to deliver via c-section (she had a prior uterine surgery), and her water broke naturally with me but she did not go into active labor with either of us.
But, this was about 30 years ago. Not sure how much has changed since then. Good luck to you!

I haven’t had a cerclage but they are evaluating me to see if I’m a fit for it this pregnancy. I’ve had 6mcs and 2 living children where I had preterm labor with medication and bed rest to prevent further progression of labor. Because I had active labor I wasn’t fit for the cerclage with my 2 now living children.

I had my son at 27 weeks so this pregnancy I got a cerclage at 14 weeks.

I’ve been feeling ok but just get a lot more exhausted and still have nausea. Hope you’re healing well after it too! 

Obviously still very nervous about this pregnancy but trying to take things one day at a time 🙏🏼
