What antibiotic did you take for your UTI?

I'm 6 weeks right now and just found out I have a UTI ( e. Coli). I'm worried about taking antibiotics this early on in pregnancy. And the conflicting information I'm reading and even hearing from doctors is confusing. I've heard macrobid is an absolute no for first trimester but the ob says it's ok. I've heard cephalexin is safe and effective, but the ob said that's not used really anymore. I'm just curious about others experience with this? If you had a UTI during your first trimester were you given Macrobid, Cephalexin, Ampicillin or something entirely different??  Which one did you take and was baby ok ?
