Reassurance needed

Hi all, I’m currently 8 weeks (they think) yesterday I was walking my dog and I got his lead caught as he ran and I fell on my bum, wasn’t bad so didn’t think much of it, couple hours later I started with a dull ache in my lower belly, and then noticed light spotting when I wiped, I panicked as I had a miscarriage before so my other half phoned the antenatal who said they’d get me a scan today and ring me back they never ring back, so I called the ward today and they said they’ll get a mw to call me today but that they couldn’t scan me today as no scanner this morning it really is very light spotting if any at all, but still the dull ache in my belly - but then my shoulder and leg kills from the fall so not sure if it’s just related to that….my previous miscarriage I was in a lot of pain and a lot of bleeding so I already knew I’d lost it, but this time I’m still hoping this is ok! Please tell me you’ve had light spotting and everything was fine!

I am sorry that happened to you.  I had a similar situation happen in my second trimester.  I stepped off the curb wrong and went down.  My doctor wasn't concerned unless I had a lot of bleeding.  At eight weeks, I think the baby is well cushioned.  (I also had spotting for the first and second trimester for an unrelated issue, so I know how scary that can be.)  Hopefully they will get back to you and be able to schedule a visit soon.  Best of luck!

I’ve definitely had spotting and everything was fine! It sounds like your whole body is sore and banged up now, and maybe things were slightly irritated in there. But it sounds like baby is totally fine in there to me!
