I’m getting my very first US ballot in the mail today! I’m so excited to vote here for the first time. I haven’t been eligible to vote anywhere for years so even though I live in a place where politics are pretty set, it feels nice to be able to contribute.

My son had his very first holiday party at his daycare. It was so cute and fun and I was glad both me and my husband were able to make it. I do have to say though…never trust your partner to take cute pictures of you and your kid(s). I took a bunch of really cute pictures of my husband and our son and he said he did the same. He sent me one picture of me doing a craft with three kids who aren’t even mine! And it’s the back of my head!

@etnyah that is so exciting! It must have been pretty frustrating all those years you couldn't vote and just had to deal with whatever the outcomes were.

@iiirene so typical!! My husband only takes pics of me when I ask and they never turn out flattering 🤪 I bet your son loved having both mom & dad there for the party!

A tree branch fell on the roof of my car...it didn't look super big or anything so I wasn't very concerned. But apparently it smashed out my back windshield 😖 husband had to go tape it up since it is rainy and we don't have a garage. Ughh

@nsk489 SO frustrating. I moved here in 2015, then the 2016 election happened and… I don’t know how much people want to talk politics here, let’s just say I was NOT a fan, to put it mildly. And then it somehow kept getting worse! I’m really happy we live in WA at least.

Had my routine OB appointment today (first one with my original practice, I went to my first appointment at a new place just to get seen earlier to get necessary labs and stuff done, because my OB didn't have anything available for an entire month!   I wasn't waiting that long to be seen for my first appointment.)

All looked good.  Of course there are some concerns about my social drinking through the first trimester, pain killers in the hospital, and the MRI (since we had no clue i was pregnant and the initial pregnancy test in the hospital came back negative  🙄), but she assured me the risks are minimal. 

I finally got an ultrasound pic!!!  Absolutely horrible quality and I can't tell what I'm looking at, but hey, it's a pic lol.   I'll post in the ultrasound thread.  The midwife kept saying "he", so I'm not sure if that's just her go to,  or if she knows something I said I didn't want to know!  

Both of my kids are sick and boogery and coughing, and now I'm starting to feel it.  Joe started feeling it yesterday.  Hoping it's just a cold, but the 11 month old has a slight fever (99.4) and I had sudden body aches tonight   Covid test tomorrow before the oldest goes to school.  I think it's most likely a cold that turned into an ear infection for the baby, but not sure why the sudden body aches for me, unless it's a delayed side affect of my flu vaccine?

@scaredunprepared ahhhh being sick while pregnant is the worst. Hope you’re able to get lots of rest.

@iiirene lol I was up all night with my son the last 3 nights.  I don't get to nap during the day because I have my daughter here most of the day, and my son isn't napping while he is sick except on me

Someone delivered McDonalds to our house after 10pm last night. No idea where it should have gone, but based on the order of 5 ketchups, 3 cookies, 16 McNuggets (with 3 different sauces), extra salted fries, and a large coke, I’d say some high neighbors really missed their McDs last night.

I was already in bed, half asleep, so DH grabbed it and put it in the fridge. I forgot about it until this morning when I saw a giant McDs bag in the fridge. 

I definitely forgot how good McDs is… yay for the air fryer and a free lunch. 🤣

@ladyofarlington score! Something similar happened to us last month, we got groceries delivered and ended up with someone else’s freezer items in addition to ours, including a pint of expensive peanut butter ice cream. I called the store and told them, and they said to keep it (I assumed that would be the case, can’t really give someone groceries that have been in someone else’s house). 

Not so fun when your own stuff goes missing, but it’s easy to have it replaced, thankfully!
