FTM/STM/TTM+: STM EDD/Weeks+Days: 16 weeks/ April 10 Baby is the size of: avocado Team blue/pink/green: finding out Upcoming Appointments: Wednesday-regular check up How are you feeling?: I ended up with a stomach bug over the weekend. I am still utterly exhausted. Rants/Raves: we were supposed to go to a pumpkin patch with my mom over the weekend but my son broke out in some pretty serious hives, then I started throwing up, then the stomach bug hit my son and husband. So we had to reschedule. Luckily the stomach bug is only lingering in my husband and my sons hives are finally cleaning up-but the stomach bug has caused a potty training regression. GTKY: What is your favorite vacation spot? Anywhere with a beach…but I really loved our trip to Bermuda.
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM EDD/Weeks+Days: 4/5/16+5 Baby is the size of: a fetus Team blue/pink/green: pink! Upcoming Appointments: anatomy scan November 16th. How are we almost halfway already? How are you feeling?: good, finally! I thought the nausea would never go away. It started raining Friday and the wildfire smoke disappeared, it was really affecting me. Rants/Raves: My dad is coming to visit over thanksgiving and I’m so excited! And we’re almost ready to buy tickets for a mini vacation in San Diego in January. We haven’t gone anywhere since pre-Covid, I can’t believe we’re actually going on a plane again. GTKY: What is your favorite vacation spot? Tough one! I traveled a lot in my 20s and it’s hard to pick a spot. Probably Sicily. Or maybe Berlin. Or Jordan. I miss traveling!
DS born 2/18/2019 DD born 4/1/2023 Baby #3 EDD 11/21/2024
EDD/Weeks+Days: Due April 12th; will be 16 weeks on Wednesday
Baby is the size of: TB says lightbulb, which is interesting because last week it said a magic 8 ball and I feel like a lightbulb is smaller than a magic 8 ball? 🤷♀️
Team blue/pink/green: we know 😊
Upcoming Appointments: 16 week appointment on Wednesday 10/26!
How are you feeling?: I’m feeling pretty good, despite battling headaches and experiencing a lot of pelvic pressure (which I do not remember until the very end of my first pregnancy)
Rants/Raves: I am enjoying the Halloween candy perhaps a bit more than I should! How fun to be pregnant for big holidays this year (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas)! 😊
GTKY: What is your favorite vacation spot? I love to travel and have several! My all time favorite, if I had to pick, is The Gili Islands (off the coast of Bali and Lombok in Indonesia). The beaches are breathtaking, the scuba diving is amazing, and there are no cars on the island so you get around on horse drawn carriages and bikes. The fresh seafood at restaurants on the beach is spectacular and the vibe is just unlike any other that I’ve experienced. We only visited Gili Trawangan (Gili T) and I would love to return one day to visit Gili Air and Gili Meno, in addition to Lombok.
Upcoming Appointments: nothing until 11/17 for a check up then 11/23 for our anatomy scan
How are you feeling?: mostly better, but the nausea returned over the weekend. Fortunately, we didn't have much going on. Seems to be letting up today...hoping it stays that way.
Rants/Raves: I have to deal with some uncomfortable family junk on Wednesday, so not really looking forward to that. I'll definitely be glad when it's over.
GTKY: What is your favorite vacation spot? My favorite place, so far, is Queenstown, New Zealand. It's the most peaceful, beautiful place I've ever been, and I would move there in a heartbeat if I could.
Upcoming Appointments: Anatomy Scan appt on 11/23 and check up that day as well.
How are you feeling?: Sooo exhausted, not getting much sleep as I am crazy uncomfortable in any position which is confusing as I barely have the tiniest bump. Headache pretty much every day as well, super fun in a new job, not.
Rants/Raves: Hosting Thanksgiving this year with my side and his side coming. Very excited for family but not the stress that comes with family. They are already annoying me and we are a month out. But so excited to find out the gender and do anatomy scan right before so we can surprise everyone!
GTKY: What is your favorite vacation spot? Hmm I love traveling just about anywhere! As long as it doesn’t involve sleeping outside, not my style.
*adding all of these vacation spots to my bucket list 🤣*
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM EDD/Weeks+Days: 4/19, 14w5d Baby is the size of: maple leaf Team blue/pink/green: green Upcoming Appointments: 11/10 How are you feeling?: Good!! But like....this acne has GOT to go Rants/Raves: Rave-Going out to dinner tonight with DH to celebrate our anniversary ❤ and the rain held off enough this weekend that we were able to go on our hike! Went to a waterfall outside of Portland, it was beautiful. The hike was only about 2.5 miles but it was straight uphill and holy smokes was I winded. Thankful he carried our toddler in the hiking pack (I normally do) bc I wouldn't have made it 🤣 Rant---had to pick my MIL up from the airport last night. She always picks the most inconvenient flight times, where we have to leave to pick her up/drop her off either at the asscrack of dawn or middle of the night. Didn't get home til almost 2am 😴 GTKY: What is your favorite vacation spot? Like others have said, it's so hard to pick! DH and I both did a lot of traveling (up til covid times). We have an unofficial rule that we don't go back to the same place twice because there's so many other places we want to go, but Greece is one of the places we would break our rule for! And most memorable trips would be Cuba and Peru (hiking Machu Picchu 🤩)
EDD/Weeks+Days: Due 4/11; I’ll be 16 weeks tomorrow
Baby is the size of: A lightbulb
Team blue/pink/green:Pink!
Upcoming Appointments: This afternoon for my 16 week appointment. I’m so hopeful that I like this doctor more than the last one. I’m still nervous about mentioning my previous negative experience.
How are you feeling?: I’m feeling great for the most part!
Rants/Raves: Not really a rant, but I’m so impatient to feel the baby move. I feel like I can explain away every “flutter” that I’ve had so far.
GTKY: What is your favorite vacation spot? We love Switzerland! We spent some time hiking in Grindelwald this past summer and it was stunning!
How are you feeling?: lower back pain is killing my motivation to work out. Sleep is better. I think this baby is a roller because I'll get the worse belly burn on one side then a couple hours later on the other side!
Rants/Raves: not looking forward to Thanksgiving. We live 2 hours from where we're going and we were just told our dog is now not welcome, but we're expected to show up early and stay for a different dog's birthday party. Uh.... no.
GTKY: What is your favorite vacation spot? Only true vacation I've ever been on is in Wildwood. We've been every year, but probably not go anymore. Wildwood is the new Seaside Heights 🤮
@returning_bump_member we do Cape May every year with extended family and visit wildwood, but I am meh about it too. There is lots of fun family stuff to do, though. As for the dog thing, yeah that's not happening lol. If my dog isn't welcome, you van expect I won't be at your dog's birthday party 😆
@v_flowers how was the new doctor? Did you mention your last (negative) experience???
@nsk489 so glad you got to hike! Sounds beautiful. And again, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! My husband loved Greece, but I have never been. Need to fix that!
@cortsull0724 aw so fun to be able to surprise everyone at Thanksgiving!
@trubaby411 sorry about the resurgence of nausea. Hopefully that was the end of it. Yuck for family drama. Sorry you have to deal with that. Maybe it won't be as bad as you expect?
@ladyofarlington I'm excited for candy this Halloween like you wouldn't believe! Last year I had GD during Halloween which was a major bummer.
@etnyah glad the rain helped wash away some of the smoke finally. And how awesome your dad will be able to visit for Thanksgiving. I still feel like I JUST found out I'm pregnant. Like, we still haven't told anyone except my sister and BIL and my previous BMBs. It is beyond me how we are almost halfway. How?????
@iiirene icky. Hope you are feeling better and your son's hives clear up. Do you know what caused then?
FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM
EDD/Weeks+Days: 17 weeks tomorrow!
Baby is the size of: no clue!
Team blue/pink/green: green!
Upcoming Appointments: this Thurs 10/27 for normal OB appointment, then 11/14 for anatomy scan (how????!!!!)
How are you feeling?: great, just sore hips and back when I wake up
Rants/Raves: Spent the weekend at my sister's. We all had fun, but my middle niece had a croupy cough, and now it looks like my oldest is coming down with something (maybe the same thing? Maybe different). So it's just a matter of time before it hits me and my son. Hubby almost never gets sick, the lucky ba$tard.
GTKY: What is your favorite vacation spot? I actually haven't traveled much. I have only been outside the US once, and it was to Jamaica. My favorite place that I have been is Puerto Rico. Favorite state is probably Vermont. Places I want to go: Australia, Fiji, Ireland, Poland, France, Greece, Antigua. Hubby is lucky, he gets to travel for work, so he has seen so many awesome places.
I had to take a break from TB last week due to a work trip that had me working long hours and I was just too exhausted to post at the end of the day. Blergh. One more work trip in December before I'm off for mat leave! Woo!
@iiirene I hope you're back on your feet soon! @etnyah I freakin' love SD! Mostly because you can swim in the ocean. Haha. And also, my oh my have you traveled! So great. @ladyofarlington my H's work sent him a large bag of sour patch kids and Swedish fish and I'm more than half way through. Good thing I don't have to do the glucose test until after Halloween! Hehe. @trubaby411 I hope the family drama is behind you in no time. @cortsull0724good on you for hosting Tx! You've very brave. All I want to do right now is nest and not see ppl. @nsk489 What's your next destination? @v_flowers I too am impatient to feel the baby move, but having been told that I have anterior placenta and can expect to feel no movement until 22-24 weeks, I've kind of braced myself for the long wait. @returning_bump_member WTH at that stupid "no dogs allowed" at a dog's party? Seriously. I'd be so upset if someone told me. @scaredunprepared does your hubby ever take you on his work trips? He should!

EDD/Weeks+Days: Apr 1 / 17+2
Baby is the size of: no
Team blue/pink/green: it's a secret!
Upcoming Appointments: Nov 11 for my next OB appointment. But I'm supposed to also have my final (I HOPE) RI appointment this week or early next week.
How are you feeling?: Mostly good except when I don't get enough sleep which happened me last night, so I felt like a$$ all day today. It's like now when I don't get any sleep, I feel 10x worse than when that happened pre-pregnancy.
Rants/Raves: We had our early anatomy scan last Monday (10/17) as we had been hesitating about getting amnio done so the genetic counselor recommended doing an early scan... having the option to do the amnio if something didn't look right... and then completing the scan at the usual 20 weeks. Everything looked GREAT so we declined the amnio. Woo! It was so great to spend so much time looking at our baby. They kept moving around and making it difficult for the sonographer to get some heart measurements. She had to tap on my belly to get them to move their little arms! I looked at the report once it got posted to my portal, and the baby's head is definitely big (measuring 1 full week ahead) and body-size-wise, also like 4-5 days ahead. So, we're still on track for a smart and tall baby! Woo. The baby's femur was 23mm last Monday and I'm like... OMG... so so tiny! I can't even imagine the tiny human inside of me! It's CRAZY!
Oh and since I was onsite for work last week, I made the pregnancy announcement to my team (and anyone else who'd listen). I got a custom t-shirt made that had our corporate slogan at the top ("The future is for riders") and the words "future rider" over my belly area. Everyone LOVED it.
GTKY: What is your favorite vacation spot? Portugal (I went pre-H; can't wait to take him there) and Hawaii.

@acleverusername this will be my first time in SD! My ILs have been going for two months every winter the past 20 years, so we’re staying in their rental. Probably won’t do much swimming since we’re going in January, but my son loves the beach and I’m excited to see the city!
Yay for an early AS, I’m so glad everything looks good! It really is weird seeing an actual human with teeny tiny body parts in there.

FTM/STM/TTM+: STM EDD/Weeks+Days: 14weeks6days due April 19 Baby is the size of: a donut today Team blue/pink/green: we will find out on Friday on our anniversary Upcoming Appointments: Have a heartbeat check tomorrow! How are you feeling?: Pretty good! I've had a cold this week due to a major weather change (negative for flu, vid, rsv & strep) but wooof it really sucks to be so sick and not be able to take anything for it. So congested and awful sore throat. Have been doing throat losanges and trying to limit the recommended cough syrup to nighttime, but it's been miserable. Finally feeling like I'm on the mend. Rants/Raves: Cravings are weird. I crave only sweets - like could completely go without our regular, healthy dinner in favor of sweet cereal or ice cream lately. It's such an odd thing that cracks my husband up because I'm not typically a big sweets person! GTKY: What is your favorite vacation spot? We love traveling and have traveled many places, but if I could go anywhere right now it would be to Aruba. I would love to relax on the beach, go to great local restaurants, and explore the island. We went there right before covid hit during my last pregnancy and although I couldn't drink of enjoy all of the food, it was a really great trip and I can't wait to go back with our kids!
@env1028 Oh yes! Aruba! That was one of my favorites and my first/only solo trip! I'd go back in a heartbeat!

FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM! EDD/Weeks+Days: 14 weeks 4 days due 4/23 Baby is the size of: I don't know - I think I read a peach? Team blue/pink/green: Team Green till delivery Upcoming Appointments: Had my regular 4 week check up this morning. I met the new dr. in the practice - I was anxious as I'm not a huge fan of 2 of the other 3 (but I LOVE the 1 so I've been torn on seeking a new practice). I really liked this new one. He was very patient, answered all my questions without judgement and without acting like a pompass @ss (something I cannot say for some of the other Dr's in this practice). He even took out the portable ultrasound machine for me so I could see the baby today! All was good - H/B of 144 and the baby would NOT stay still for a second (even though I can't feel anything in terms of movement). Next appt is 11/22. How are you feeling?: Overall better- my stomach is uncomfortable these days- like I can tell its trying to expand & make room. My headaches have been much better this week and I have *some* energy back (though 930pm I am still falling asleep on the couch). Rants/Raves: My husband surprised me with a pregnancy pillow today - its a giant U shape - different than ones I had in earlier pregnancy - excited to try it out tonight & grateful for his thoughtfulness! Rant: We went "Boo-ing" with my 6 year old's bestie and her Mom (one of my best friends) on Sunday late afternoon (driving around in the moms car the whole time, the 4 of us). The little girl was visibly not feeling well the whole time, told her mom many times she wanted to go home, her head hurt, her stomach hurt, etc.... her mom was like "she has no fever, she's just tired bc she was up late last night" Meanwhile they were at a party earlier in the day that the child slept through entirely (at age 6 in public, not a usual occurrence for this otherwise very social butterfly). She obvi knows I'm pregnant and was visibly uncomfortable for the activity due to her daughter saying she wasn't well (I offered many times to reschedule)... anyways she texts me yesterday- daughter has tested positive for the Flu. FML. My 6 year old only got her flu shot last week, so its not effective yet - I haven't had mine yet as was waiting to get out of first tri... I'm paranoid about getting the flu pregnant. REALLY hoping we stay healthy. GTKY: What is your favorite vacation spot? Hard to narrow down to just one - but I am strictly a beach vacationer and my favorite island has to be Turks & Caicos... I've been 7 times now, trip #8 will be when I'm 30 weeks along in February. It's not a far flight from my area, beaches are pristine, restaurants are great, locals are amazing, really love it there!!
@returning_bump_member did I know that you are also from the Northeast ? I'm in NJ - I've never been to Wildwood as its quite south of me, but figure you must be relatively close by to vacation there yearly?
@enw1028 and @acleverusername my in-laws have a time share in Aruba so we generally go yearly - its definitely a close second to Turks for me!!
@scaredunprepared The second doctor was a night and day difference than the first. She actually had me and my husband speak to the office manager about our experience. They have removed that first doctor from my rotations going forward. This was definitely an important lesson in speaking up for myself!
@acleverusername I’m not sure about my placenta placement. Maybe I can ask about that at my next ultrasound? At my appointment on Monday, the doctor said that I should feel movement soon. Fingers crossed!
@MsBeachNJ I'm from Central Jersey but moved to the Lehigh Valley in 2021. I grew up going to Belmar and Point Pleasant. I hate how built-up those towns (at least Belmar) is getting; it used to be my absolute favorite beach.
@scaredunprepared I like Cape May, at least the local, less touristy places. See below for dog drama, lol.
@acleverusername It isn't the people having the party (my parents), it's the person's house we'll be at, my grandmother's. So now both myself and my brother have to figure out what to do with our dogs that day.
@v_flowers yep, definitely ask about that placenta. I'm glad I learned about anterior/posterior so early on as it really helped temper expectations. For now, I have a doppler that gets me by.

@ladyofarlington with the kids we love Beaches - its perfect with the sesame street characters, the water park, and the childcare services (we hired a nanny from the kidzone a few times to be able to enjoy adult dinners, etc!)
Without kids, I've enjoyed Grace Bay Club, and what is now the Wymara (formerly Gansevoort). There really are no bad places to stay on Grace bay beach though...
@MsBeachNJ the resort where we stayed was next to beaches and I may or may not have snuck in to check it out - looked great and very family friendly. Agreed Grace Bay is perfect - glad to hear you’ve had good experiences everywhere!

For whatever reason, the site hasn't been letting me post anything new or reply to posts for over a week now! Aside from that....I'm grateful that everyone's taken the news so well. In the last couple week's we've told my step-kiddos, as well as my work, and everything has gone as well as could have been expected. GTKY: What is your favorite vacation spot? Anywhere remote, beautiful, and away from all the people LOL. If I had to pick something more specific, I think one of the most amazing places we've ever been was one of the more remote portions of Lake Jocassee in SC. Only accessible via boat or a a very long walk, and it was absolutely beautiful!
Thanks for the well wishes. My sons hives are all clear and we really never got an explanation or cause of why they showed up in the first place. My whole family is feeling better so I’m very thankful for that.
I really want to go on a vacation now after reading everyone’s posts! My in laws in live FL and we are visiting them in about two weeks. Not sure if that’s really a vacation but there will be a beach and someone else to look after my son so I’m counting it.
@iiirene, same! We've been so focused on trying to plan out some home renovations prior to little one's arrival that I hadn't given any thought to a babymoon, but reading all these posts make me want to find a way to plan one!

EDD/Weeks+Days: 16 weeks/ April 10
Baby is the size of: avocado
Team blue/pink/green: finding out
Upcoming Appointments: Wednesday-regular check up
How are you feeling?: I ended up with a stomach bug over the weekend.
EDD/Weeks+Days: 4/5/16+5
Baby is the size of: a fetus
Team blue/pink/green: pink!

EDD/Weeks+Days: 15w5d due 4/12
Baby is the size of: ?

EDD/Weeks+Days: 15 Weeks; 4/16
Baby is the size of: Orange
Team blue/pink/green: Finding out 11/23!!

How are you feeling?: Good!! But like....this acne has GOT to go
Rants/Raves: Rave-Going out to dinner tonight with DH to celebrate our anniversary ❤ and the rain held off enough this weekend that we were able to go on our hike! Didn't get home til almost 2am 😴
GTKY: What is your favorite vacation spot?
I gotta get a passport for some real travel!
@nsk489 What's your next destination?

Baby is the size of: I don't know - I think I read a peach?
Team blue/pink/green: Team Green till delivery
Upcoming Appointments: Had my regular 4 week check up this morning.

Without kids, I've enjoyed Grace Bay Club, and what is now the Wymara (formerly Gansevoort). There really are no bad places to stay on Grace bay beach though...
EDD/Weeks+Days: 4/9; 16w4d
Baby is the size of: Philippine Tarsier
Team blue/pink/green: We know, but haven't shared with anyone else yet!
Upcoming Appointments: Had a check-in and my first gestational diabetes screen earlier this week
How are you feeling?: Rounder by the day, a little irritated my boobs hurt so much again, but I can't complain
Rants/Raves: Just glad I could finally get back on here!
