We've been planning for his parents to watch the kiddos and dogs this weekend for us, and they've been under the weather last week, so time will tell. Upcoming Appointments: Thursday next week (my birthday lol) How are you feeling?: still a little queasy most of the time, but I haven’t puked in a long time. Energy levels are getting back to normal, so I’m feeling pretty good. Rants/Raves: I’ve started slowly organizing what will be the nursery, it’s currently my home office/guest room/storage room for random crap. It’ll be a long time until it’s ready but it feels good to have started! Even though baby won’t even sleep in there until they’re 6-ish months old. GTKY: Did you dress up for Halloween growing up? What was you favorite costume? Nope. It’s not a thing in Norway. Or rather, it wasn’t a thing when I was growing up, it is now since Europe is getting increasingly Americanized. I guess I’ll have to make an effort with my kids, but I’m a Halloween grinch. I don’t have a costume for my son yet.

Upcoming Appointments: 10/27 with my old OB. I think I have made up my mind that I'll be going back to my old OB instead of the new one. Being offered an elective c- section for no reason really rubbed me the wrong way, even though everything else was great about it.
How are you feeling?: pretty good minus still sore at my incisions and internally in a few spots. Slightly worried about my main incision. It's red, swollen, and seems pussy. Pretty gross. Also super sore to the touch. Not really anything pregnancy related though.
Rants/Raves: Hubby is having some abdominal pain, and automatically goes to worst case scenario, acting like its an emergency and he is dying. I am trying to be supportive and understanding, but I really think it's just a pulled muscle or something and he is way overreacting. He had an ultrasound today that revealed no masses or anything else worrisome, and he is insisting it is something else and that they run more tests. He said he was going to go to the ER 🤦♀️. Mind you, when i was writhing in pain from my gallbladder attack, he was very reluctant to take me to the ER until my sister forced him to! I swear if he had to go through labor (or gallstones for that matter!), he would just lay down on the spot and drop dead. Such a baby. Of course I'll feel absolutely horrible if they do find something wrong, but I don't think they will.
GTKY: Did you dress up for Halloween growing up? What was you favorite costume? Yes! The whole family dressed up and went all out. My dad was the OG when it came to tombstone decorations! He made his own, before they were sold in stores for Halloween. We would decorate together and it was awesome. My mom would make a lot of our costumes, too! My favorite was a Native American costume she made, it was awesome! She even made a smaller version for my doll to wear!

How are you feeling?: generally / mostly great except this morning I felt a bit nauseas and actually ran to the bathroom expecting to puke, but the running to the bathroom helped stifle the urge.
Rants/Raves: vacation (honeymoon) is over. *sad face* BUT... it was FANTASTIC! No more time off until Christmas, although I expect week of Thanksgiving to be pretty slow so I'm planning to go see a friend in LA and do some "fake work" Mon-Wed.
Also, my FIL should be receiving his bday card this week, which has our baby announcement inside it. Really hoping that he gets it this week, and not next week, since I'll be away for work next week and won't be able to take his call with H.
I think BIL/SIL should receive theirs next week (they're in Germany). It's been hard to keep news from all of them, but it's been so worth it to be able to tell everyone one-on-one and in a unique way.
Oh, and I used my doppler last night to try and hear the baby's heartbeat and was pleasantly surprised to find it fairly easily. My sis heard it as well.

@acleverusername it’s not with my doctor yet. Invitae has a tracker, it’s still in the “lab processing” stage. Then it’ll get to “analysis and interpretation”, before finally being released to my doctor.
Literally everyone else I know who have done Invitae NIPT had the result within a week. Mine’s been stuck at the same stage for ten days now. I think I’ll call Invitae directly tomorrow.

How are you feeling?: still tired all the time but the nausea is mostly gone
Rants/Raves: work is so stressful right now, I just can't seem to keep up. But I'm getting better at setting boundaries and not working on the weekends anymore!

Sometimes, my Dad was not a fannof us participating in Halloween but my Mom always wanted to so some years we did some we didn't. I had a lot of dress up clothes anyways so I almost always was Dorothy from the wizard of oz or a princess lol
