GTKY: What is the last concert you attended?

Team blue/pink/green: finding out, hopefully this week! I don’t have a preference but I have a girl feeling. I had a boy feeling with my son, we’ll see!
Upcoming Appointments: not for a while, October 20th.
How are you feeling?: nausea and fatigue is starting to ease. Covid set me back but I feel a lot better now. 
Rants/Raves: started to get into nesting mode and deep cleaned the kitchen over the weekend and it felt pretty good. The house looks bombed after we were all sick for so long, and I haven’t exactly been staying on top of household duties since well… I found out I was pregnant. 
GTKY: What is the last concert you attended? I’ve been to a lot more concerts this summer than in the past couple years (thanks, Covid)! All local bands. Most recently a band my H knows called Wimps, it was family friendly and outside so kiddo had a blast. Before that, a house show of a friend’s band celebrating 10 years of being in a band (I didn’t catch much of it because my son thought it was too loud, but we watched through a window). Before that again, my H’s band and a couple others played a roller rink, so I got to try on roller skates for the first time in over a decade. The stage was in the middle, that was really fun.

Upcoming Appointments: Friday for my NT scan. Finally. A had a surprise trip to urgent care on Saturday for a UTI
How are you feeling?: The UTI is uncomfortable but at least I’ve got antibiotics which should be helping with that. Otherwise I’m feeling good physically. I had a really horrible nightmare last night about the pregnancy so that has got me feeling off emotionally this morning. 
Rants/Raves: just so eager to see my baby again this week. I haven’t had an appointment since late August
GTKY: What is the last concert you attended? A few weeks ago my husband and I went to two concerts-one I was really looking forward to and one I was looking less forward to. We saw Andrew McMahon and the Wilderness and Smallpools. Both shows were fun but exhausting.

How are you feeling?: I started to have some better days last week, but nausea was back over the weekend and still feeling off today. 

Rants/Raves: rant...we've been dealing with water in our basement, even though we waterproofed when we finished it 2 years ago 🙄, so all the additional rain we're getting from remnants of Ian is making for added stress trying to dry out the water that has seeped under the flooring. We've been waiting on a contractor for more than 2 weeks to come help route water away from our house. They were supposed to be here last Monday, but delayed because of another project taking longer, and now we're just on hold. It's so frustrating when contractors don't communicate with their customers. We have had to chase down everyone who has done work at our house, and I'm pretty over it. 

GTKY: What is the last concert you attended? Leslie Odom, Jr. One of his covers was the song we picked for our first dance at our wedding reception, so his concerts hold a special place for us.

How are you feeling?: finally better, no more severe morning sickness 
Rants/Raves: I have a friend staying with me for a few days, she keeps trying to do “chores” because “she feels like a burden”. I wouldn’t offer for you to stay if it was a burden. Just be a guest and stop making comments about it. 
GTKY: What is the last concert you attended
21 pilots in 2016, was supposed to see Billie eilish 3/24/20 but that was cancelled

Baby is the size of: A plum? The fruit comparisons seem so random to me. 
Team blue/pink/green: Team healthy baby. My husband really wants a girl, and I feel really connected to the idea of having a daughter. Either one is honestly fine with me! 
Upcoming Appointments: 10/24…it seems forever away. We did our NIPT test last week and the waiting is killing me. I’m considering booking a private ultrasound when my Mom comes up to visit in a week or so. I just want to see the baby again so bad. 
How are you feeling?: I’m feeling great! I’ve had very minimal symptoms the entire pregnancy, which has honestly amplified my anxiety. But, the bloating is still pretty intense in the afternoons. 
Rants/Raves: I’m a HS English teacher, and I am dreading work every single day. The burnout is so real. I used to love teaching, but the kids this year are very challenging. 
GTKY: What is the last concert you attended: Bon Iver in early 2021.

Upcoming Appointments: next week I’m meeting with a potential new OB / a potential new midwife / and then possibly also my current OB. Lol. 
How are you feeling?: great! No more nausea and I’ve started to go down on my B6 dose. But it’s mostly because I ran out before my trip so had to ration for my pillbox. 
Rants/Raves: I’m in Maui 😎 for our (finally!) honeymoon/bday trip/ babymoon. We had to book the trip last year to avoid losing our flight credits from our original trip first planned for Apr 2020, then Dec 2020… both of which were cancelled. When I booked this trip last December, I reasoned that at minimum it will be our honeymoon and my bday trip (39th bday is tomorrow!) and at most also a babymoon. Alas, that’s just how it all worked out! 
GTKY: What is the last concert you attended? I honestly do not remember. I feel so old. I think maybe it was going to see SF Symphony play their outdoor summer concert Summer 2019. 🤷‍♀️

@v_flowers I really considered getting a private ultrasound too. My next one is Friday and it will be almost 6 weeks since my last appointment. I’m feeling so anxious. Sorry you’re feeling burnt out. Being a teacher is really hard right now and I’ve definitely struggled to enjoy my job for the last two years. This year is actually the first year I’ve enjoyed my job more often than not in since the 19-20 school year. 

@yelaklu13 Billie Eilish would have been an awesome concert. What a bummer it didn’t work out!

@etnyah that roller rink show sounds like a blast! We’ve been trying to catch up on the live music we missed out on because of covid too

Upcoming Appointments: tomorrow! Probably just a pee, blood pressure, doppler, and measure fundal height one.

How are you feeling?: Pretty good, still exhausted by 9pm. Was really happy about our NIPT results today, super low risk.

Rants/Raves: I hate that I'm too big for normal jeans and leggings but maternity anything falls down still!

GTKY: What is the last concert you attended? Kenny Chesney in June for my son's birthday. We waiting 2 years to finally see him and it was worth it!

GTKY: What is the last concert you attended? National Symphony Orchestra and Hanson collab haha; I was pregnant with DD at the time and a good friend wanted to go for her birthday - it was actually super fun!
