Small/Intimate Baby Shower Etiquette

Hello Mommas!
I hope that you and yours are blessed and doing great! 😊

I am having a very small and intimate Baby Shower in November. The max invitees are 22 people. In my invitation I mentioned that it is an adult only celebration, respectfully. The location is a small but cozy room in a cafe that I love to go to. Since it is will be in a small space, I am doing an elegant setting on an 8 foot table surrounded by two other 4 foot tables. I am doing a teddy bear 🧸 and roses theme in blush pink tones with touches of gold to make the room look inviting and beautiful!

I would like to know if this is something that you would do for your Baby Shower in terms of not inviting children? I would love for my small group to be able to enjoy themselves and not have to worry about their kiddos running around in the limited space 😊

Thank you so much for your input and time! ♥️

Re: Small/Intimate Baby Shower Etiquette

  • I’ve never attended a baby shower that included young kids, although I’ve been to ones where teenage family members were included. I don’t think it’s a problem at all, especially since most baby showers aren’t necessarily the sort of thing that most kids would enjoy.
  • Thank you so much for that ♥️ I was second guessing myself if I did the right thing or not 😂

Ive been to baby showers where kids weren't invited. I have 5 kids and I was totally ok with it because it allowed me to have a break and I know how rowdy they can make things. Most people will understand!!
  • I've sent both. Usually no kids before the baby is born and kids after the baby is born. Your plans sound awesome! I hope you enjoy it!
