How are we feeling this week?

Not a symptom, but I have a cold, which is making all the symptoms worse! Especially puking. I’ve puked more in the past couple days than the past few weeks combined. And the puking is making my already sore throat even more sore. Pregnancy symptoms and virus making each other stronger, it’s a match made in hell.

The bloating and constipation is so awful. I’ve tried all of the “natural” solutions, but no amount of water or fruit is helping anything move along. Have any of you had luck with OTC meds? Colace is listed as a safe option on the OTC medication list from my doctor, but is it effective? I need relief and soon!  The situation is so bad that I don’t even want to eat anything else at this point.

@v_flowers I have been having a small amount of decaf coffee each day - it has definitely helped. I'm sorry you're feeling that way, it is truly awful!!! With regard to your colace question, that is a stool softener but not necessarily a laxative... perhaps Fiber supplements?

@MsBeachNJ The decaf coffee sounds like a good tip! I’ve started Metamucil, so I’m hopeful that it will kick in soon.

@v_flowers I basically chug water, and even with Magnesium, I have very hard stool. So, I take Miralax every other day to help soften the stool.

Welp, it’s not a cold. Whatever this is is horrible. Going to take a Covid test as soon as I can get out of bed for any other reason than to puke. My fever is 100.4 f, I’m supposed to call my OB if it gets to 101. I’m finally able to keep down water and Tylenol (the first two attempts came straight up again) so hopefully it’ll come down a little soon. I’m absolutely miserable. And H leaves for work in 40 min so I’ll be solo parenting for the rest of the day. Looks like an all-day iPad day for kiddo!

Welp! Finally made it out of bed and took a test, it’s Covid. Fuuuuuck me.

@etnyah ugh, sorry! I hope it passes quickly with no lasting impact.

@etnyah oh no!! Hope it passes quickly and doesn't run through the whole household (bc we all know sick husbands are THE WORST)

@nsk489 that’s my biggest fear! Him getting it before I’ve recovered while kiddo stays healthy. Obviously I don’t won’t my son to get it either but he has SO much energy and it would be the end of us. 

I talked to my OB and they told me to go to the ER if my fever is 100.4 and Tylenol doesn’t bring it down. It got to 100.6 and Tylenol brought it down to 100 so yikes. Really do not want an ER trip, I can barely stand.

@etnyah So sorry to hear that. When I had covid 5 weeks ago, I stayed in bed a week to rest as much as possible. Hydrate as much as you're able. Hope it goes away quickly!

Thanks, all! Feeling a little better today, Tylenol is keeping my fever down finally and I have zofran for the nausea. I threw up 15 times yesterday, today I don’t even feel nauseous.

H is staying home today, he did yesterday too. Technically he doesn’t have to quarantine but he told his work that he might have to drive me to the ER if my fever worsened, thankfully it doesn’t seem to be. And there’s nooo way I could solo parent currently. I definitely need him home!

@acleverusername I'm with you. I was on my knees in the backyard last night after walking the dog, it hit hard or of nowhere. I'm also in that limbo of measuring behind, questioning my dates, waiting for comparisons to measure growth. So I'm crawling towards the house dry heaving with my husband on the phone and I'm telling him OMG a hormone surge, maybe this is good 🤢 

What a time to be alive 😝

@sambo0423 that sounds painful / worrisome / anxiety-provoking ... all the GOOD STUFF. 

I think in my case, what happened is that I stopped taking B6 this week, thinking that "I'm feeling great! Nausea is gone!" AND I also forgot to take Unisom before going to bed last night. So, it now appears that I was feeling great because I had been taking B6 and Unisom. Lesson learned.

@v_flowers try Natural Calm from Amazon. It comes in unflavored and flavored powder. I used this prepregnancy and got it approved by my OB last time! It helped with staying regular, headaches & restless legs later on in pregnancy 😊 I tell alllll my pregnant friends about it now ha!

I'm 12 weeks as of Tuesday and I've been getting a headache every morning since then. The first symptom The Bump lists for 12 weeks is headaches, so it's very on time I suppose, but that doesn't make it easier to get up in the morning lol.

I wish pregnancy didn't come with a superhuman sense of smell. Hubs and friends are canning an insane amount of fresh tuna today (~180 cans) and I can not be anywhere near my kitchen 🤮

My boobs have been slightly sore since forever, but yesterday and today they’re NEXT LEVEL sore! What is going onnn. Anyone else’s boobs about to explode out of the blue?
