Bivalent Covid vaccine

Hi! I’m wondering if anyone has gotten the bivalent (omicron specific) Covid vaccine yet? I’m 25w and thinking about it. I haven’t been boosted since 9/2021. Thank you!

  • I received it last week! My OBGYN said she would prefer if I got it before the third trimester started, so if I did get a fever or reaction to the vaccine it would be a little safer. I was 26w6d when I got it, no side effects. My husband received it at the same time and also had no side effects, and he had myocarditis and a reaction every other time. Maybe this one is lighter :)
  • I also got mine last week along with the flu shot, no side effects except a sore arm :)
  • I got it also and had no side effects, also got it with the flu shot!
  • thank you ladies for sharing!! My OB recommended I get the bivalent to help the baby and I’ve been so nervous.
  • I got mine on the 20th! Feeling so much less anxious now that I did it!
  • I'm trying to figure out the best timing to protect baby. I had COVID in early August, so from CDC recommendations based on that, I should wait until November for the best immune response.  I've read that the third trimester is best, and I'm not quite there yet, but one study said to get it between 20-32 weeks, and that placental transfer may not be as good after 32 weeks. So I may be trying for the first week of November to hit both of those recommendations.

I'm also trying to figure out best timing for tdap (it sounds like ASAP after I hit 27 weeks) and the flu shot...
