Hi all - hoping you can help a panicked first timer 😅 I have PCOS and was told by a fertility specialist I wouldn’t be able to conceive naturally, and when I fell pregnant it was a huge surprise but have now found myself extremely paranoid about whether my baby is okay or not. I’ve had all my scans etc so far and all good - I’m now 14 weeks 3 days. Today my husband and I were running very late for our connecting flight to visit my parents and we jogged a bit and immediately my back started hurting and I got twinging feelings in my uterus (I’ve had them before whilst relaxing but this time it was more frequent). I was so out of breath and every time I started up again they came back. I maybe only ran/jogged a total of 5 minutes with little breaks inbetween and the twinging stopped after about 10 minutes, but then when I went to the bathroom in the plane I saw my knickers were quite wet and I was just hoping it was sweat (I was very sweaty from it as we had to rush so much) but it absolutely panicked me. I’m still feeling very worried. Could I have done damage to little one by that jog? So far since been fine (been about 5 hours now). I’m usually quite fit but haven’t been exercising in a while as have been exhausted and get lower pack pain whenever I do. Thanks so much to anybody who may have some better input 🙏🏻
Re: Panicked first time mum 😅
That said, I’m also a fan of just always calling the nurse line at your OB or midwife’s office to get some reassurance and to find out what, if anything, should make you really worry in that situation. That’s what they’re there for, and they’d rather you call and have it be nothing than not call and miss something that went wrong.
