Re: Symptoms Week of 9/5

  • Welp, it’s definitely true that you start showing earlier with subsequent pregnancies! It’s obviously still bloat since the uterus is still below the pubic bone, but I look bigger now than even my worst non-preg bloat.

Funny observation: the last few weeks of my previous pregnancy when there was definitely not a lot of kicking space in there, my son settled into a position where he leaned his back to the outward right side of my abdomen. As a result, my belly was lopsided and protruded more to the right. It looks like my belly might have been stretched more on the right side permanently, because looking down currently it definitely sticks out more on the right side again. Lolll bodies are weird.

  • @etnyah you actually answered a pressing question I had. I was debating with my self/my husband if my bump is my "burrito bump" or "baby bump". Sadly, it's all the burritos I've been eating in the last few days (I just had another one today. That's 4 days in a row.) • @acleverusername yep, not quite showing yet. But, although the uterus is still tucked away down there, it’s still growing and pressing all the guts and organs up and out. Even though it’s not a bonafide baby bump just yet, it’s definitely still possible to have more of a belly than usual. You’re probably looking at more than just regular burrito baby!

  • B L O A T E D. I feel like I swallowed a house.

  • I'm also in the "I know this isn't really a bump yet, but I feel huge" camp  The bloat is so real...and I miss my old yoga pants

Also, the insomnia and exhaustion is really starting to catch up with me lately. After not sleeping through the night for several weeks now, I find myself really needing to practice more mindfulness to not stress and want to strangle someone at about 4:30/5am after laying in bed awake for an hour or more.....anyone have any fave go-to's for managing this?

  • The way I would describe my bloating is : I know there is only one in there but sometimes I wish there was two so that I didn’t feel like my belly is so giant by the end of the day. The second baby “bump” is no joke.
    trubaby411
  • The huge boobs (think I'm a G now) definitely hide most of the bloat, especially in a looser shirt. Just wish my high rise leggings weren't so uncomfortable now. Bringing out my low rise yoga pants, circa 2006!

I’ve already put away several pants that no longer fit, a couple were already pretty snug in the waistline before pregnancy so now they’re definitely a no-go. I think I’ll rummage  through our storage shed and find my mat clothes this weekend. Also bought some new mat clothes on Labor Day sales, but I’m hoping to not have to buy much more.

I’m glad I’m pregnant at the same time of year as last time (due six weeks after my son’s birthday) so I don’t need an entire new seasonal wardrobe!

  • Fatigue!! I’m exhausted all the time! Also bloating- I already started using a hair tie to button my jeans 😂

@acleverusername I've had zero cravings so far but ohhhh a burrito 🥰🌯 now I am daydreaming about those Frito burritos they used to have at Sonic. Sadly I'm no where near a Sonic to get one, if it's still a thing. Now I have to go back to the grocery store. 🏃🏻‍♀️

  • I thought my nausea was slowly getting better but it’s been back with a vengeance this weekend. I’ve puked more in the last couple days than the past couple weeks before that. Dunno if the poor air quality is at fault but I’m not a fan. I really hope this won’t keep, especially since I’m going to the office every day this week. Currently eating veggie straws for breakfast because the salt seems to help a bit. Ugh I’m miserable.
