Hi guys! I am currently 27 weeks pregnant and for a few weeks now I’ve noticed sometimes after I eat breakfast I get short of breath and feel almost exhausted. I normally eat a bowl of oatmeal and some sweet potatoes which I know is a lot of sugar so I’m not sure if maybe it’s blood sugar related. Or maybe I’m just running out of room 😅Just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this
Re: Shortness of breath after eating
I'm 28 weeks and sometimes I swear I can feel when baby has grown. After meals (especially larger ones) I feel short of breath, as if he's taken up all the extra room in there. Then, over the next couple of days, I stretch to accommodate. That's how it feels anyhow!
I talked to my midwife who suggested breaking up my regular portions in two - one for now, one for later (after about an hour). When I can do that, it keeps me on track nutritionally, instead of eating a small meal then an easy sweet snack later when I have room again!
