Hello apparently 4-5 percent of babies are actually born on their due date. That said, do you think you’ll deliver earlier or later? What’s your due date and what date do you predict you’ll deliver ?
I definitely feel like I am going to be early with this baby. With DS, I was a few days early too. I’m carrying low, but the baby isn’t “engaged” yet and that’s good because I’m not due till 10/10!
I’m the opposite carrying high although I have a feeling she’s gonna be early … everything points towards a later delivery. Let’s see if we’re right 😆😆
I'm not really sure. DS was fairly late at 10 days past due, however he was also born during the first lockdown and I would not be surprised if the stress of all that made it harder for my body to feel safe enough to go into labour. My Dad's birthday was September 30th, which would be 6 days ahead of due date, or (Canadian) Thanksgiving Sunday is 4 days after and a full moon so I keep guessing those two dates. DH thinks she'll come in those first 2-3 days of October.
Since I’ve never successfully gone into labor on my own and they’ve scheduled a c section for 41 weeks assuming I won’t, I will go with that date but with fingers crossed for a miraculous labor before that.
I have my C-section scheduled already for mid September, so I know I won’t be going any longer than that. The comment about only 4-5 percent of babies being born on their due date made me think of my first though. I went into labor on my due date but my kid had to wait until after midnight to be born. I was soooo close to having her on her due date! Even my second had to be difficult because I was induced and she didn’t come until after midnight either.
I’m due 10/25, but won’t go past 10/18. I was induced with my first at 38 weeks for gestational hypertension, my 2nd came at 37 weeks on her own, and I was induced with my 3rd and 37+2 for gestational hypertension.
Since this is my 4th, and I’ve had a history of gestational hypertension, AND I’m 36, my provider doesn’t want me going past 39 weeks, and I’m more than ok with that.
I had to be induced with my first at 41 weeks (water broke, then labor stalled) so I'm guessing that'll happen again? I told my midwife I'd be up for an induction on the Monday after I'm 41 weeks, so 10/17. The doctors almost moved my due date a week up and the baby has been measuring more in line with the mid-Oct due date, so I feel like the 41 week point is my "real" due date anyway. I just hope baby is still a Libra
My due date is Oct 4th but I’m really hoping she is early & we can have a September baby. I dropped already so maybe.. fingers crossed. My sons birthday is Oct 2nd so hopefully that day doesn’t happen. 😬
I’m due October 2nd but lots of talk on induction at week 39 as my diabetes is being managed by insulin so the doctors have said at that point baby is healthier on the outside than inside.
Husband’s bday is Sept 29th and he’s said that he hopes it’s on a different day - not because he cares, but because if my baby is anything like me, she won’t wanna share her bday with anyone else 😂
Mine were all spontaneous labours... the first 2 were born exactly 7 days before their due date, and 3rd was a day before. I'm hoping this one comes at 39 weeks too (so Oct 1)! I have a lot of pubic pain and have been having way more BH than any other pregnancy for weeks now, so hoping those are good signs of a short labour in a few weeks! Although, I do keep saying I'm so ready to not be pregnant anymore, but I'm not so sure I'm ready to have a newborn again lol
My due date is October 1st but because of previous gestational hypertension, ama, and ivf they don’t want me going past 39 weeks. Of course I turn 39 weeks on a Saturday so they said depending on how progressed I am they’ll either bring me in that Sunday, the 25th or the Monday the 26th. She does seem a lot lower than my last pregnancy and I’ve been having tons of Braxton hicks which I didn’t have last pregnancy so maybe I’ll go on my own. Also having ton of pelvic pain throughout the day.
I am hoping baby will be early. My daughter was 6 days late. This pregnancy hasn’t been as enjoyable to me and I just want it to be over. I’m going to ask for a sweep at 38 weeks and do all the things I can to bring on labour starting at 38. I don’t mean to sound ungrateful but I’m done lol
@jennaverhaeghe will they do that at 38 weeks? Here they won't do it until 39 weeks. My practice doesn't even recommend or suggest it until after 40. Good luck! I hope you have a smooth and speedy delivery.
I am due 10/7, but I just don’t feel like I have that long left. Serious back cramping, lightening crotch, extreme fatigue, and diarrhea (tmi, sorry) has hit full force this week. I can barely make it through a work day anymore. But who knows, right? Maybe I’m just being optimistic for pregnancy to be over. Babe still hasn’t “dropped” and loves my ribs so I’m not expecting it in the next week or anything.
Anticipated due date was 10/16/2022 but had to be induced today due to IUGR. In my earlier post I said i had a feeling she’s gonna be early but not this early. Still I’m really excited to have her here with me finally
I was around 41w2d and was induced with a totally closed cervix (and balloon and everything else) last time just prior to Covid lock down. That baby was comfortable and not making any effort to come out spontaneously. But once dilated literally out in just a few minutes.
I’m 35+4. I feel much lower and have so many random Braxton hicks this time. I also feeling like I waddling with a bowling ball in my crotch. Not sure if that’s progress or just second time mom pain. Doesn’t help that work is really bad right now and I’m working way more overnights than a preggo mama probably should be. I’m so nervous bc i feel like a FTM who has no idea what spontaneous labor is like. And I’m working alone in a hospital overnights (one without OB if you’re curious).
