Car jerking and belly

So I am 34 weeks tomorrow and today in the morning I had to go with my sister to pick up her car at a hotel (she was driving). When we got there there was a bump that she went over a bit quick and made my belly shake. Later on my boyfriend hit a pothole and the car jerked once again and then again later going over a speed bump. Will this affect the baby? Does anyone have experience with this? I’m a first time mom and very anxious.

Baby is perfectly fine! If you got into a car accident, that would be a different story. That would be a cause for worry.

Walking makes your belly shake. Laughing makes your belly shake. Going down stairs makes your belly shake. Bumps on a road is not going to harm your baby.

I went over speed bumps twice a day every day for most of my last pregnancy, sometimes a little quicker than I should because I drive a truck, and baby is here now and just fine. If it makes you uncomfortable I’d ask them to try to avoid it, but otherwise you’re totally fine.
