Hi! I was wondering if anyone else has had the Natera panorama test done? I've had it done 3 prior times, this is my 4th and I'm on day 15 of waiting. How long did it take to get your results back? Mine have never taken this long before.
I am still waiting for my results. Here is my timeline:
July 15th - blood drawn July 18th - Drs office said it was received at Natera July 20th - Natera updated their site to received and in progress

@tessiesmom26 I did my NIPT on 7/14 and my results got returned to my health online account on 7/23! When I go to log in on the Natera website my results still said in progress, but on the my health online it had the full lab report on there! Hope that helps!!
Maybe a silly question on the NIPT, but it wasn’t really around with my first two, and still a huge out of pocket expense with my third and I had no risk favors to qualify under insurance, so I’ve never had it done before this time. If you don’t want to know baby’s sex, do they block that out of the report? Because I’m a dork and will thoroughly read all medical reports uploaded to my chart online in their entirety…and while I want to be surprised, I also don’t want the temptation of it sitting right there and knowing it’s there and being responsible for ignoring it. 😅
@runningyogimama they don't! The report is a one-pager of results (at least the test I had done 3x is - MaterniT21) and the gender is in bold and essentially front and center after the trisomy results. With our first, we were in the office and the OB printed it out and when we told her we didn't want to know the gender, she blacked it out with a sharpie in 2 places - then realized you could still read through it depending on the lighting so ripped the words out with a pen If you don't want to know gender just make sure to ask before you open anything in an email etc. and they can probably get creative
I actually just got my results today - the OB on the phone said everything looked good but when I said I was unsure if I wanted to know gender, she emailed it over to me so I can open it if/when I want. Let's see how long I last!
@emeraldisle17 Ugh, that’s what I’m afraid of! Like not kidding, I will compulsively read every medical report they upload, and even though I want to be surprised this time (which I never thought I would want!) the temptation of knowing it’s online just sitting in my chart easily accessible might be too much temptation for me. 😳 I’ll see what they can do when I go in this week, haha.
Yikes! For mine - blood draw was 7/15, portal said received on 7/19 and I received the results this morning. Never got any email though just randomly logged in to check
Mine was the MaternIT test through LabCorp, they said 1-2 weeks and I had a call from the nurse at exactly 1 week with the results (all normal and a boy!). It still hasn’t shown up on MyChart though, and it’s been over 2 weeks
@runningyogimama Mine was done through Natera and on the paperwork we could decided if we wanted to know the sex or not. We choose to, so it will be there, but if you have the option and choose not to, then I would think it wouldn't be on the report if they don't test for it? Might be worth a goog on the site for the company running the test.
Still no results here..

@runningyogimama my MyChart results just had “Notes” under the Gender category, I think as a courtesy in case we didn’t want to know. I got the phone call a week before the results were posted to MyChart, and the nurse asked if I wanted to know then, too. With the LabCorp results, there’s a LabCorp website you can make an account for and log in to and see the full thing, but the MyChart version was basically a summary from my midwife. So if your provider does it the same way, it may be at least a little less accessible than you think. And the LabCorp website is a pain, so I don’t really recommend making an account anyway since you don’t need it.
@tessiesmom26 I’m pretty sure they still test for it, because it’s chromosome counting and they also look for sex chromosome abnormalities, like XXY, XYY, etc, so they’ll still have the answer. But they don’t have to include it in the report, because it’s not important information about the baby’s future health the way that an abnormality is.
I got my call from the OBs office yesterday with my results! Baby tested within normal range for everything! They are putting the sex of the baby and the report in an envelop at the office for me to go pick up when I am ready.

The MA said that the company that does their NIPT test sends two separate email links - one specifically for sex of the baby, and it prompts 2-3 different times asking if you’re sure you want to open the results and know baby’s sex, so there’s no way to accidentally see it, and it’s completely separate from the rest of the report!
For those of you who went through labcorp and had a labcorp account! Did it show pending test results anywhere or did it not populate until they were ready? I had my blood drawn on Friday (7/29) and impatiently waiting for the results!
My NIPT also came back 95% chance of Down’s syndrome. My OB said an MFM would be calling to set up an appt. I’m feeling very overwhelmed right now. Our NT scan was perfect, so we were not at all expecting it.
@runningyogimama that’s a lot to have to process. Sending thoughts your way. Hope you get to find out more soon and don’t have to wait. The unknown is so hard!!
My OB said coming back at 95% on the NIPT is very, very high chance.
I’m considering doing an amniocentesis so we know for sure. I didn’t expect this reaction or to feel this way, but I haven’t been able to stop crying for the last hour….
@runningyogimama Wow, that’s a huge thing to process. I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with this. I’m also really nervous how the NIPT will turn out, now more than ever. Sending so much love to you ❤️❤️❤️
@runningyogimama I don’t think anyone can predict their reaction to that news. Hopefully the MFM can help you with next steps and further testing and all of your related options, because that must be very overwhelming right now, too.
@runningyogimama I am so sorry! What an absolute shock that must have been after your NT was good, and - truly - a lot to take in. I am sending you hugs and all my best wishes
@runningyogimama I'm sorry for this hard news!! When I was in my 20s and first had involvement with people who had down syndrome, there was something about them beyond their extra chromosomes and adorable features. I ended up surrounding myself with these sweet, almost angelic people for several years because they helped bring meaning in my life and made me feel special too. I wanted to share with you that one thing that stood out the most was how many of them had an incredible bond with their parents...none of whom signed up for downsyndrome. I know it's not easy to have those results and it wouldn't be for me either when there's so much more involved but I felt like I should share that with you. Hoping for the best for you.❤️
Thanks for the support, ladies. I’m going to disappear for now - not sure if I’ll come back and update after I have the amnio done or not. My feelings and thoughts on this and how we will move forward are not at all what I would have expected or thought I would want to do, hearing this news. It’s completely different actually having it be our reality. If I don’t come back - I wish you all the best, and it’s been nice getting to know you. ❤️
@runningyogimama *hugs* ❤️ Receiving news like that is unexpected and tough to deal with. And you need to do what is best for you. Have enjoyed getting to know you.
It’s been a shocking few days for some of us, and I’m crushed to see @runningyogimama leaving us. I’ll keep you in my thoughts, mama ❤️❤️❤️
On a positive note, I want to share that I got my NIPT test back as normal today, and we’re having a BOY! Very happy that my littlest girl is going to stay our baby girl and this will be our lone boy ❤️
I had my blood drawn on 8/3 and no update yet on NIPT. A bunch of other results have come back already but no NIPT. Kaiser told me it takes up to 2 weeks to get results so only half way I guess. Anxiously waiting!
I will be SO disappointed if gender is somehow in the results. I had my midwife remove that order, so it shouldn’t be. Maybe I’ll call before opening to be sure it isn’t on the report anywhere. We definitely don’t want to know.
I was talking to a friend today who used to work with prenatal testing. I discovered that the NIPT results are not very accurate unless you have a fetal fraction of 4% or higher. 🤯 I just got my results this weekend. It says my baby is low risk but my fetal fraction was 1.7%. It seems to me that my results are totally useless. I just thought everyone should know about this too. I’m curious to see what my midwife will say about the results too.
