I thought we could try this thread out until we start the Hump Day Bump Day weekly threads. I was thinking another 4-5 weeks to start those, anyone have any other thoughts?

What is a win you've had this week: I successfully did not take a nap in the handicap bathroom stall yesterday, and exhausted as I was I'm calling that a win lol

What is your whine for today/this week: So tiiiiiiiired

What are you sipping this week? Mostly water, nothing else really sounds good. I'd really enjoy a Pink Drink from Starbucks though!
  • Win- Totally just sat inside watching my two oldest catch and get a bucket off one of our goats' heads. Woohoo for having big kids that can handle it without me having to go out and help!

Whine- my youngest turned one yesterday and has been reverting back to newborn sleeping. I'm so tired.

Sipping on coffee for now. With my other pregnancies coffee quickly became an aversion so I'm cutting it back slowly now to help with caffeine headaches later.

Win - I get to completely start from scratch with ordering stuff for my new kindergarten classroom
since it’s a brand new section and it’s been super fun adding classroom stuff to the list to send to the office to order! It’s furniture, supplies, everything! (Except what I already have of my own stuff from my previous classrooms)

Whine - my toddler has been crabby and whiny all day so I’m ready for his nap after lunch 🙃

sipping on - water, and I’ll have a Diet Coke with my lunch we’re ordering. I haven’t had one in a week so I’ve been pretty good!
  • What is a win you've had this week: only took 2 pregnancy tests because of anxiety.

What is your whine for today/this week: I’m really missing my husband. He works away from home for 60-100 days in a row. Things will change once I have the baby which is why he is working so much right now so we can save up even more.

What are you sipping this week? Gingerale and water. Still on the pickle juice.
  • @babymac4321 I totally sipped on some pickle juice yesterday after finishing off the jar and it helped so much! I was lightheaded and exhausted and a little queasy. I think I needed the electrolytes’
  • Win: it’s a relatively chill week at work, but good things are still happening with deals my team is working on. Love when things seem to just be humming along.

Whine: This nausea is the pits. It’s not enough I’m puking but enough that all food sounds awful. Result: lightheaded, hungry but nauseous, and cranky. Grateful for aforementioned chill week for work so I can lay down (and working from home)!

Wine: Man, really cold water has hit the spot this week. It’s 95 and humid af so the thirst is constant. I think I’m gonna make a mint simple syrup for this weekend to make mint lemonade!
  • ohhhh I like this check in! Thanks for starting it.

What is a win you've had this week: I'm actually getting some stuff done. Moving sometime in the next two weeks so there is sooooo much going on!

What is your whine for today/this week: Cost of moving is crazy. Cost of everything is crazy.

What are you sipping this week? been doing NA Hein and NA  IPAs which are nice. I went sober 3 months ago so had a headstart of finding all the good NAs  and Alcohol free wines that have come out over the past couple years :p Other than that, soooooo much water. I work in construction so keeping hydrated has been a chore. I fell like I'm constantly drinking.

my win this week is I haven’t had to start iv therapy yet even with the bad nausea.

my whine: I am so tired and the house needs to be cleaned.

What am I sipping this week? I have been trying everything from Sprite Zero, flavored water to Powerade. Nothing sounds good with nausea.

What does everyone drink with bad nausea when water doesn’t go over well?

What is a win you've had this week: I’ve gotten really into knitting lately and I’ve been putting off fixing a sleeve of a sweater I’ve been working on. A few nights ago I finally did it, and finished the sleeve and it feels like a weight is lifted off my shoulders.

What is your whine for today/this week: I hate how unpredictable the nausea can be. Yesterday I could barely get off the couch and today has been more manageable. MH has crazy stuff going on at work so I wish I could be consistently useful instead of randomly being out of it.

What are you sipping this week? Anything cold. But ginger ale is my go-to in pregnancy!
  • @marybench2 as crazy as it sounds, pickle juice helps me so much with nausea and heartburn.

Win: I took a nice 45 minute walk today!

Whine: My fatigue is absolutely awful and I almost puked today. I have a phobia of puking so that was not great for me. But the nausea is gone.... for now

Not wine: I can specifically only drink Evian water right now, all other water is gross to me lol.
  • For the pickle juice crew: there are SO MANY kinds of pickles. What...variety of pickle juice is working best? Is it dill? Bread + butter? Gherkin?! Not sure I'm at "drink pickle juice" stage but definitely curious!

I have the same question about the pickle juice. What is everyone drinking it for, nausea? I heard it can help later with the calf cramps.
  • @heytallmama @bbrahmbhatt I can’t stand any other pickles except for dill so it’s definitely dill pickle juice 😅 I drank it for some queasiness and when I was lightheaded the other day. Helped tremendously
  • @mamahosch thanks for the intel! A runner friend of mine swears by pickle juice after she does marathons so i wasn't sure if it was like... replenishing something?
  • I was also clearly too lazy to Google this answer so thank you for being my Google ;)
  • I stand by the garlic dill pickle juice personally. I strain out the little pieces of garlic and down a couple mouthfuls of juice. It’s got the salt so it helps to replenish electrolytes. I swear by it but it’s definitely not for everyone of course.
