Did anyone's fever in early pregnancy (4-6 weeks) cause Birth Defects or not?

How high and how long did the fever last?

I had a fever, with Covid, at 9/10 weeks and my anatomy scan was perfect. Baby is due in a month and we expect no issues at all.

@paytonpedro That's reassuring to hear that you had a good anatomy scan! I had COVID at 12 weeks with a fever for 5 days. I was very careful to keep the fever under 101 with Tylenol. My doctor said as long as the fever doesn't go higher than that, it should be okay. I'm a bit worried about whether the fever or the COVID itself will have any effects either during pregnancy or early development after birth.

My 13-week ultrasound looked good, but I'm anxious to see if all will be okay at my anatomy scan next week.

Same! Mine was brief and I kept it under 101 but I had it earlier (right at 6 week mark) which increases risk for NTDs. Counting down days to anatomy scan!

@ftmnewb Just had a normal anatomy scan, so it looks like COVID probably didn't do any harm 🙂
