Thank you for posting this! I love these but am never good about remembering to do them or the topics for the "fun" questions.

EDD / Weeks + Days: 6+1, 3/8 per LMP 

Baby is the size of a(n): according to the bump, a lentil. Another app I have said a jelly belly jelly bean. I like that one better 🤪

Team blue/pink/green: I'm thinking it's a girl because it's a lot different than my pregnancy with my son. We were team green for my son and I struggled to bond with him after he was born. I don't think finding out the gender would have been the solution to that but I wonder if being able to pick out a name and dream about a specific child beforehand would help. I'm not sure if that makes sense but it does in my head. 

Upcoming Appointments: 7/27 for my first appointment! 

How are you feeling?: fine. So good that I have to remind myself that a missed period and constipation are pregnancy symptoms. So is fatigue. Very rarely will I have a wave of nausea and even then it's mild. 

Rants:  we told my in laws and my MIL got on the phone right away and started telling everyone. I already told her it's early, no doctor appointment yet, etc and she's just blabbing away.

Raves: for our 10 year anniversary, DH got me flowers that look like our wedding flowers looked

Questions: can I take a nap? Jk I know I can...I mean, can I leave work and take a nap? Pleaseeeee

GTKY: What was your favorite movie as a kid? Hocus pocus! Watched it so much my mom swore I wore out the VHS tape.

EDD / Weeks + Days: not exactly sure. Going with 3/20 for now. So 4wks3d

Baby is the size of a(n): speck of sawdust or a poppy seed. 

Team blue/pink/green: we'll find out at our anatomy scan but definitely thinking blue for no other reason that after 6 boys I can't even imagine having a girl. 😂

Upcoming Appointments: haven't called yet. Will call in the next week or so since I know my midwife won't see me for a while. 

How are you feeling?: tired. Bloated. Kind of blergh. Like the gross over ate feeling without the over eating. 

Rants/Raves: Our farm is kind of the fritz the past few days and I'm over it. Neighbor goat keeps breaking out and beating the heck out of our fence trying to get in and fighting with our buck. Dang young chickens learned they can get in our garden area and have destroyed our watermelon patch and started eating our eggplant and cucumbers. 😡 My boys are distraught over it.  
Also we are just getting over being super sick. My poor H had it the worst. Of course right before we demoed one of our bathrooms to remodel it and it's been put off since which means 7 (since the baby is in diapers) people to one bathroom. I know I don't have much longer before I get pukey and have I mentioned I have ALL boys and the stereotype of peeing all over is so dang true so I'm getting antsy as heck. 
On a better note, the people we've told so far have been surprisingly happy and excited for us. Shocking with baby #7.

EDD / Weeks + Days: 6 Weeks, 6 days

Baby is the size of a(n): honey bee! Cute!

Team blue/pink/green: I think we will find out at some point and then keep it to ourselves until baby arrives.

Upcoming Appointments: PAP tomorrow, blood test Saturday, and a dating ultrasound on the 25th! Things feel a tiny bit more real having some appointments on the calendar.

How are you feeling?: So tired, nauseated on and off throughout the day which has been challenging at work. I tried to take a sneaky little nap sitting in my chair yesterday by turning to look out the window. I set a timer and everything haha

Rants/Raves: With it being summer time, we are getting invited to a lot of get togethers and BBQs and things, and it is getting really hard to navigate menus and the nausea around others!

Questions: none right now, but I'm sure they will come!

GTKY: What was your favorite movie as a kid? Homeward Bound 2. I never saw the first one, but oh man I loved the second one.

Baby is the size of a(n): Appleseed! 

Team blue/pink/green: I have a girl and a boy already so while I’m super curious to find out I don’t really care which! 

Upcoming Appointments: 8/9 w/ primary (pre-scheduled)  & 8/16 w/ OB 

How are you feeling?: this was a surprise so emotionally all over the place! We’re planning to announce next week at some point to close family and I think that will help with the excitement. Symptoms: EXHAUSTION, waves of nausea and some cramping. 

Rants/Raves: My SIL is expecting her first and it’s all my MIL wants to talk about making it really hard to keep it a secret 😂 

Questions: How should I tell my big kids? They’re 7 & 5 and I know they will be excited but I want to make it fun. 

GTKY: What was your favorite movie as a kid? Anastasia. I used to sing 🎶 Once upon a December 🎶 everywhere I went

How are you feeling?: first morning today woke up pretty nauseas. Dry heaved a few times. Extra sleepy. I’ll definitely have a nap today.

Rants/Raves: rant- my mom is being really hurtful towards whatever I’m eating. It’s never right. So I’m no longer discussing food with her. Rave- I have some truly amazing friends.

Questions: does anyone have any suggestions for a someone they know who makes the digital announcements like on Etsy ?

GTKY: What was your favorite movie as a kid? Haha I was never allowed to watch Disney movies as a kid! So my fave movies were horror movies like Scream and Fear lol

EDD / Weeks + Days:  6 weeks today, based on my IUI schedule 

Baby is the size of a(n):  a metal earring back; solid visual! 

Team blue/pink/green: Would be pretty cool to have two girls (my daughter will be 7), but a lil dude would be cool too. Either way we’re happy! 

Upcoming Appointments: Ultrasound + bloodwork on 7/18 with fertility docs. 

How are you feeling?:  So low energy, woof. I could nap all day. Slight cramps, but nothing that seems unusual. Headaches every afternoon and evening, which I had with my first but man does it make staying even-tempered difficult 😩

Rants/Raves: Rant: At the beach with my extended family and my dad is driving me bonkers. He’s just…obnoxious, makes “jokes” that are actually offensive/ rude and generally frustrating. Rave: as a fan of wine, I have found a new love for Fever Tree Elderflower Tonic water; it is super yummy and satisfies the desire for alcohol (better than that shitty Frē fake wine anyway).

GTKY: What was your favorite movie as a kid?  Ohh my cousin and I watched The Land Before Time over and over and over!

How are you feeling?: So nauseous! I don’t think the summer heat is helping. Nothing sounds good except for fruits and veggies. My friend recommended morning sickness lozenges from Pink Stork. So far I like them!  

Rants/Raves: Why do symptoms have to come and go?! As much as I don’t like the nausea, I’d rather have that and know things are okay. 😅The day before I was very nauseous, but then yesterday I wasn’t…and it freaked me out! But the nausea is back today! 

Questions: What do you guys eat for lunch? I can handle smoothies, but I feel like I need to find other options. 😅

Tired and a little emotional. I keep having on and off backaches and uterus heaviness but nothing too crazy.

Waiting for first appointment is the hardest thing!

I don't know if I had a favorite. I enjoyed playing outside with my cousins more than watching tv.

Upcoming Appointments: all need to be scheduled still - whoops.

How are you feeling?: nausea is starting to kick in over the last few days - anything more severe and I'll probably call the midwife for a diclectin prescription. I had to do it last pregnancy too and it sucks but at least I can function!

Rants/Raves: We've been having some fantastic weather here. Being outside all day is magical.

Questions: none this week!

GTKY: What was your favorite movie as a kid? I watched Aristocats OFTEN for years. I know it's not the "best" movie but I still have a major soft spot for that one!

stabilize! Can you get heartburn because of pregnancy this early? I haven't changed my diet but have had heartburn like crazy the past couple of days!

Rant: I have a herniated disc in my back and this has been the worst 3 days of my life 😭
Rave: as of today I’m changing from teaching preschool to kindergarten this fall 😄

@gravcass yep! I have heartburn sometimes too. All sorts of gastro symptoms can be normal in the first trimester. Apparently digestion slows down a lot.

EDD / Weeks + Days: 3/14 | 5+2

Baby is the size of a(n): lavender bud ❤️ super cute

Team blue/pink/green: We're gonna be team green! I've always wanted to do it but I started to question whether I should so DH and I rolled a dice and let luck decide. So we won't be finding out the sex this time! We have 2 girls but both of us would be perfectly happy with either. My oldest wants a boy and the 3 year old wants a baby sister though. They've already been fighting over it.

Upcoming Appointments: my first appointment will be August 17th. A whole 5 weeks away. Feels like years!

How are you feeling?: Awful all the time lol. I literally spend over half the day in the bathroom.

GTKY: What was your favorite movie as a kid? Oh boy I had so many. Ferngully, Little Mermaid, the first 3 Barbie movies, The Swan Princess, Sleeping Beauty, and Anastasia were my biggest obsessionns

Team blue/pink/green: I have two little boys and I would love to have a little girl. Although I have experience with boys, so I would be happy with another little boy. Has anyone here tried the at home gender test where you can find out super early? My SIL was telling me about it. 

Upcoming Appointments: Aug 1 is my first appointment with OB and I will have an ultrasound. Super excited because we plan on telling the boys after my appointment. 

How are you feeling?: ugh. All over the place! Some days I have ALL of the pregnancy symptoms, other days I am just tired and slightly queasy on an empty stomach. I am thankful that for the most part I feel good, but having experienced a loss before it makes me a little nervous. 

Rants/Raves: I am having issues with not wanting to eat. I have no appetite and the smell of food cooking can make me queasy. Not much of a rant, but it is fairly annoying. 

Questions: none right now. 

GTKY: What was your favorite movie as a kid?  I loved Finding Nemo and Mulan.

How are you feeling?: fine! A little constipated otherwise I kind of forget! Also I have zero patience right now-my mood swings go straight to irritated.

Rants/Raves: uuf this heat in the Midwest-tough to stay active and eat right when it’s so hot and humid! Raves-got THE cutest little smart wool baby booties as part of telling my hubby… soooo adorable I keep getting them out

@heberk I wanted to do the early gender testing with my first pregnancy in 2020 but I read that it’s so easy to contaminate the results with your husband’s DNA that you can get false results lol so I didn’t want to do it.

Upcoming Appointments: My first appointment is scheduled for August 3rd when I'll be around 9.5 weeks. I've never had my first appointment so late, and it's making me slightly nervous.

How are you feeling?: Nauseated as hell. I'm on a new medication now, but it doesn't seem to be taking effect yet. I'm nauseated 24/7, no breaks, and it's exhausting.

Rants/Raves:
Rant: We've been so sick this week. I caught strep on Friday, Saturday my DS got a stomach bug, and then through out this week, someone in the family has been getting either strep or the bug. 
Rave: Vacation is next week! I had a lot of outings planned for daytrips with my kids (since we live near the Gulf anyways), but now I'm not sure how much I'll manage.

@gravcass Thanks for starting this! I think you can start getting any symptoms as soon as you get a positive line. It's the HCG that causes a lot of discomfort.

@youcanhavemanhattan I have a great desk for taking cat naps, and I take advantage fairly often.

@tortugaazul Whatever you end up doing for your kids, you should record it. Kids have the funniest reactions!

@babymac4321 Yeah, definitely ignore your mom about the food. When you're nauseated, you eat whatever you can handle.

@shorty-sar I bought some frozen dinners, because when I get hungry, I need food now and don't have time to make any. Plus usually if I make it, then I don't want it.

@mama925 Are you doing a blood test to find the gender?

@marebear15 yes! I’ve had a few friends love the SneakPeek blood test so we’re going with that! With our first two we waited till the 20week anatomy scan but we’re doing a homebirth this round and scheduling sitters for our older two around appointments and ultrasounds is tedious so I think we might lean towards skipping unless something tips us off that their absolutely needed. I’m super excited to find out so early though! This will be a tie breaker baby!

@mamahosch that is good to know! I will have to read up on it! I really want to find out early, but I am pretty cheap and don’t like spending money if it isn’t necessary

@mamahosch how would your husbands dna contaminate it if it’s a blood draw? You can only have an xy chromosome in your blood if you have boy dna in your blood from babies blood supply? I’m genuinely curious cause I’m leaning towards doing the blood draw

@mama925 if you do the at home kit, you do a finger poke and send in the blood in a vial but you have to like SUUUUUPER clean the area you’re doing it in because if you’ve touched anything with DH’s DNA it can contaminate. At least that’s what I read a few different places when we looked into it 2 years ago 🤷🏼‍♀️

Baby is the size of a(n): Sweet Pea

Team blue/pink/green: Team Green! My husband doesn’t think I’m going to last but I’ve never really had the desire to know before hand. Adds the the excitement of giving birth. 

Upcoming Appointments: First Utrasound is next week Tuesday! I had an ectopic my last pregnancy so my doc is keeping a close eye on things and wants to confirm the babe is in the right spot this time around. 

How are you feeling?: The nausea is hitting spontaneously and my boobs have never hurt like this in my entire life 😆 

Rants/Raves: let’s rant about how badly I want to be active but #1 it’s so hot and humid and #2 every time I think I’m going to have the energy to do so I crash and just want to go take a nap 😂. I’m raving about how it’s my birthday next week and I have my first ultrasound next week! We are taking a trip up north with my parents next weekend and plan to tell them we are expecting.

Team blue/pink/green: For sure finding out when we can. Had a feeling it’s a boy.

Upcoming Appointments: End if the month with a nurse. Not seeing the doctor until mid August. Seems so far! 

How are you feeling?: Still feeling pretty wiped. At the end of the work day all I have energy to do is eat, shower and go to bed lol. Thought I was going to miss the constipation train but that just started. Also started crying that DH took the initiative to do the dishes the other day 😂

Rants/Raves: Tonight we were at my in-laws and the dinner conversation turned into discussing miscarriages. They don’t know we’re pregnant yet and we don’t want to tell them for a few more weeks. The conversation reved up my anxiety more than it already is though. 

GTKY: What was your favorite movie as a kid? Definitely on the Little Mermaid, Mulan & Anastasia train like many have mentioned!
