  • What number are you trying for? 2

    Month/Cycle? 2/2

    WTO/TWW? WTO

Ages of other child(ren)? 3 tomorrow!

Any thoughts about this cycle? My period should be ending any day now...

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave? Yesterday was DD's birthday party and everyone had a fantastic time! I was nervous to show DD her cake because she's afraid of cake (cake = candles = fire), but since it was a galaxy cake with swirly colors and star sprinkles, I figured it was different enough that she wouldn't get scared. She was so excited she covered her mouth in joy! <3

GTKY: What are your favorite birthday traditions with your kid(s)? We always have the food catered by a local Italian restaurant. Spaghetti and meatballs is one of DD's favorite foods and all the adults love what we order. One of these years DD will slow down enough to eat some!
  • @hestia-is-wearie I love the idea of spaghetti and meatballs for her birthday!  My son loves pizza and we always get pizza and wings for his even though its a summer backyard party.

What number are you trying for?2

    Month/Cycle? 3/1AL

    WTO/TWW? TTW

Ages of other child(ren)? 5 (Six next month)

Any thoughts about this cycle? I don't know!

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave?  An attorney I work with brought muffins for everything this morning.  It was delicious. It's the little things in life, am I right?

GTKY: What are your favorite birthday traditions with your kid(s)? Oh gosh.  My son gets two parties (one for friends and one for family) plus we always take him somewhere special on his actual birthday.  This year we are going to Hershey Park. (Which is ironic because he hates chocolate haha!)

  • @hestia-is-wearie aww I'm so glad she loved the cake! Did you decorate it yourself?

@ReadyForaB I'm with your son, I think pizza and wings are good anytime lol

What number are you trying for? 2

    Month/Cycle? 7/5

    WTO/TWW? TWW

Ages of other child(ren)? 14 months

Any thoughts about this cycle? Meh, I'm pretty sure I'm out so just waiting for AF

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave? I got a lot of cooking done yesterday, which was great! Not as much cleaning as I wanted to get done, but DH sprained his ankle on one foot and sprained something in his foot on the other foot so I was basically a one woman show so trying to give myself some grace there. I did get dry food storage containers from Costco for the pantry, excited to make that my weekend project next week.

GTKY: What are your favorite birthday traditions with your kid(s)? We're still in the process of making our traditions, since we've only done one birthday with her so far. We did a party that was just family and it was nice. I think as she makes friends we might do two parties.
  • @bbrahmbhatt personally, I think two parties is the way to go.  That way at one your LO was really focus on friends and the other on family.  It seems like it would be too hard to give everyone adequate attention if you include both.

  • @ReadyforaB @bbrahmbhatt We're doing separate parties for family and friends this year, too. I've specifically requested no gifts for the friends party because DD got a ton from her family!
  • @hestia-is-wearie this is a good idea.  Everyone keep asking me and I honestly can not think of one thing DS wants or needs.  It's bad.

  • @ReadyforaB My DH always takes the lead on gifts because I always draw a blank, too. Yesterday DD opened a gift from MIL and I couldn't tell what it was, and she said, "It was on your Amazon list!" Well, I didn't know what DH put on it :D

Any thoughts about this cycle? I think I’m only going to track BBT around O this go around. I don’t really feel like it offers much information to me personally beyond confirming ovulation.

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave? Rant-the kids at work call me by my first name so my son does the same from time to time. Drives me nuts. Rave-we have snails at work and I looove them and my son is so stinkin cute with them. When I move to my new classroom I’m taking them with me and getting a tank to keep some at home.

GTKY: What are your favorite birthday traditions with your kid(s)?
So far we get donuts for breakfast on his birthday. Both of his birthdays I have had off work and was able to spend the day with him and I might just continue that tradition by taking the day off.
  • @iiirene I always take my son's birthday off if it lands on a weekday and we always plan something fun.  It's so special.  Years from now they will want to go do their own thing so I try to cherish it!

@ReadyForaB I never say no to muffins.
@bbrahmbhatt Good work on the cooking! Your poor DH though.
@iiirene I love the idea of always taking the day off!

Any thoughts about this cycle? Meh, usual symptom spotting but nothing to make me think this cycle will be any different than the others.
    Any questions? Nope
Rant/Rave? It is DD's birthday! I can't believe she is five. We are having a wonderful day celebrating together.
GTKY: What are your favorite birthday traditions with your kid(s)? We do a scavenger hunt for her to find her birthday presents. So fun!
