Month/Cycle? 5/5 but IVF so.....

WTO/TWW? IVF retrieval week

Ages of other child(ren)? 9, 7 and 5 on Sunday!

Any thoughts about this cycle? Please let my retrieval go well, let there be mature eggs that fertilize and grow! I am so freaking anxious about this.

Rant/Rave? Five years ago today I was admitted to the hospital at 27 & 5 with preeclampsia. It's a really rough week for my PTSD because of how I was treated by a variety of doctors. My little was such a fighter though. 

GTKY: What is something new that your kid(s) is/are loving these days? My girls are really into oil pastels and my son is super into learning about the body because we have talked with them about IVF.

Any thoughts about this cycle? If we conceive this month hypothetical future baby would have a similar due date to my son. Random thought.

Rant/Rave? It’s going to be really hot today  we try to stay outside as much as possible at work (it’s a Waldorf, play based program) but I think it will be too hard this afternoon

Swimming! We spent every day at the pool this weekend.

@iiirene swimming is big for DS right now also! We must be at the right age! 😂

Any thoughts about this cycle? Cautiously optimistic, but I hate that all of a sudden FF is putting O where I know it isn’t.

Rant/Rave? Back from vacation! DS had so much fun, and we learned so much about traveling with him, which is good, because we are staying at an Airbnb next Sunday for a night. While we were on vacation, our house went on “coming soon” status, and we have 2 showings scheduled for the first day it’s on the market. Oh, and our new house is at a standstill. So good times! 😬

GTKY: What is something new that your kid(s) is/are loving these days?
He is big on singing lately. I have a tendency to just sing randomly, and I think he gets it from me, but it’s just starting to show 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Rant/Rave? I apparently have croup, which REALLY SUCKS. I cannot stop coughing and I sound like a goose. It's 100% miserable. 

GTKY: What is something new that your kid(s) is/are loving these days? She is loving exploring outside. It's so cool to watch her just find things outside and play, like rocks or sticks or something like that.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Although first try would be nice, I'm not too optimistic because my cycle got messed up due to illness...again. My period went on hiatus for two days and came back this morning.

Rant/Rave?

Rant: My cat has been waking me and DH up twice a night these last couple weeks. I swear she must have "cycles" tied to planets being in retrograde or something, because she goes through these multi-week stretches where she wakes up multiple times a night, then has a few weeks where she sleeps through the night. 

Rave: DD has been asking us to do "sleepies" a lot more lately, which means climbing into her crib and reading a story while laying next to her.  I think this is our cue to finally transition her to a toddler bed, because even though I'm 4'11", it's a tight squeeze! 

GTKY: What is something new that your kid(s) is/are loving these days? DD started official preschool two weeks ago and they go "swimming" in the wading pool whenever it's hot out, and the teacher says it's her favorite activity. Gives me high hopes for her first swimming lessons, which start tomorrow!

@hestia-is-wearie swim lessons are the best! We put DD in them last summer and again this summer!

Egg Retrieval was this morning, we got sperm and 14 eggs hopefully some are mature and fertilize

@hestia-is-wearie cats are so odd. Our older cat has been losing his mind and running around like crazy taunting the younger one for like a week now. He’s 10 years old and acting like a kitten.

@iiirene Our cat is 10 years old too. She's a snuggle bug but a total weirdo. She eats dust bunnies when she's constipated
