Weekly Symptoms Thread 6/13

What’s going on with your symptoms this week?

Re: Weekly Symptoms Thread 6/13

  • This is going to seem super random, but does anyone have sore armpits? I seem to have sore armpits the last few weeks, and they are slightly lumpy. Google says cancerous lumps wouldn’t be sore. I didn’t have this with my keepers, so I wonder if it from my IVF meds?

  • My bewbs have doubled in size and are so, so, so very sore. My food aversions are subsiding a bit though and I keep craving red meat, or chocolate ice cream (thankfully not together). I’m tired constantly, but I think I’ve stayed awake without a daily nap a few more days lately than at the end of May. Other than that though, I’m very grateful this pregnancy doesn’t have me clinging to the toilet.
  • Very over the morning sickness. I go from ravenous to nauseous and back again in milliseconds it feels like. Roughly 7w~3-4d, really looking forward to the nausea hopefully lessening in the coming weeks. I don’t mind eating small meals frequently, but when every meal is toast, oatmeal or plain pasta, it’s a bit of a chore, no? I can only stomach water or Gatorade, and I’m missing my iced tea, too :(
  • I’m nauseous constantly, sore breasts and not fitting into any of my clothes (8w 3d). I’m also dead tired all the time. My friend mentioned in second trimester you feel like your normal self again so fingers crossed!
  • Today is the first day all the symptoms are hitting me. Woke up with a headache and now I’m wavering between nauseous and ravenous. I’m scarfing down a breakfast sandwich that may come up later.
  • Okay I seriously look five months pregnant already. Like I woke up with a belly. I know baby is only the size of a fig or whatever but my belly says otherwise 😂 I popped super early with my son too and was fortunate to have a very much “belly” pregnancy so I’m hoping it’ll be similar because dressing a bump can be so fun!
  • Today has been rough for me! I was woken up super early this morning by painful stomach cramps like hunger pangs. I forced myself to eat something and it took a while to ease the pain. I’ve been exhausted since, laying down as much as possible. Hoping none of this happens while I’m out of town this weekend for a wedding. I need all the energy I can get!
  • I'm in the worst week of sickness! 10 weeks very sick, taking zofran so I can work on my feet-retail😔. Caring for my 2 year old as I lay on the floor. I'm already in maternity clothes
  • I went back to work this week for two weeks (summer school) and I’m back to being exhausted. Boobs have been sore since I got pregnant but this week we’ve added the bonus of my nipples being itchy and super sore/sensitive. I can hardly stand them touching my shirt. I wasn’t having many aversions initially but within the last week (currently 10 weeks) meat has suddenly become nauseating. Ground beef is barely edible and forget chicken, pork, or even a burger 🤢 not sure how to get more protein in so I’m just hoping this is a very brief aversion.
  • @nuggetsmomma21 peanut butter on toast/English muffin/bagel was my go-to for protein. I’m finally able to handle some meats, but I’m super picky about it.
  • @daffodil_shoe peanut butter and bagels have been my go to for about a week—it’s been one of the more filling things I can keep down!

8 weeks 4 days here! Boobs have been sore since I got pregnant. My nausea is the absolute worst! Smells have been very much bothering me for a few weeks now and I throw up EVERY SINGLE DAY. always in the evening though like right around dinner time. Not sure why, it doesn’t matter what I eat or when I take my vitamins it’s always the same. Anyone else get sick like clockwork?
  • @nuggetsmomma21 Plain greek yogurt (like Chobani) has a ton of protein. Is good mixed with fruit and honey or whatever sounds appealing. Sargento string cheese is 8grams of protein per stick. If most things sound unappealing a smoothie with protein powder. I’m pescatarian/lacto oval so I am used to getting my protein other places.
  • Im always sick from 6pm on.I'm on zofran

@nuggetsmomma21 I’ve been able to chug down protein shakes even in the worst of the nausea. It’s quick and you can kind of just knock it back like cold medicine even if it’s not appealing.

@knottiea2f06a02d7f6876c my dr just put me on zofran this week and it is helping tremendously (I was down about 7 lbs from the all day nausea). I hope it helps give you some relief!
  • I am mostly lucky with how I feel but at least once a week I wake up and feel tired and like I have a hangover all day. Today is the day. Constantly playing, “am I hungry or am I nauseous?” Usually it’s both.
  • @zamoraspin I’ll have to try the cheese sticks for some extra protein!

(VITTI88 <— just changed my username after seeing I still had a “knottie” name!)

Anyone else’s symptoms start to go away right at 11w? I had just mild nausea before, and extremely sore boobs and fatigue. I’m still tired but my nausea and breast tenderness (even some “fullness”) seems to have gone right around 11. I’m hoping it’s just easing into the 2nd trimester but after 2 miscarriages I can’t help worry extra.

Our last scan was at 9w6d. Baby looked good and had hb of 168 (both mc happened right around 7w, so this is the furthest we’ve gotten since our son 4 years ago)
  • I’m almost 9 weeks and I’ve been super nauseous almost every day for the past three weeks. Yesterday I woke up, no nausea, and didn’t get nauseous all day. Same thing today. I got a little nervous bc it just disappeared so quickly and my digestion in general seems to be much better. So I just did a pregnancy test (first one in a few weeks) and the second line almost isn’t there. I have my first appointment scheduled this week, so haven’t seen anyone yet. I did drink a lot of water today bc I’ve been out in the sun. Could that dilute the hcg in my urine?? I’m trying to stay relaxed about it until tomorrow morning when I’ll take a second test. Any info/experiences you think might be helpful is appreciated.
  • I've been very sick andnI have had days with no symptoms then a day later I'm sick again. Hormones are everywhere with first trimester.
  • I did just read somewhere that *too much* hcg can affect the home pregnancy tests- it can kind of trick it. I’m not sure how accurate that is, but with hcg rising so much, that might play into it..? Depending on when your appt is, maybe you could move it earlier in the week to ease your mind! Hoping all the best to you ❤️
  • I’ve been very lucky not to have any morning sickness (yet) or food aversions, but I do get very hungry and it’s like my stomach can’t fit as much as before - I get full a lot faster. You’d never know it because none of my clothes fit! This is my first pregnancy so I don’t know what’s normal, but I feel like I’m showing more than what would be expected for 9 weeks (though to be fair, I started off with a belly before pregnancy…).
