Not doing well in the fitness department! Prior to pregnancy I attended pure barre at least 3 times a week but haven’t been in weeks. I’m scheduled for a class tonight but woke up thinking about canceling.
I try to get out to walk my dog at least once a day. Some days I can get a peloton prenatal yoga class in but I go through phases of this.
I’m trying my best not to feel guilty and give myself some grace considering I’ve never felt like this before. But I hope it’s not too hard to get back into it when second tri comes.
I have been off and on honestly. I scaled it way back from what I was previously doing. Now trying to still do weights 4 times a week and do the prenatal barre blend class. Sometimes I also do the Peloton, but it's really hard to get myself motivated to work out. I usually feel better when I do though.
we I started back up at istroll this week, it’s a mom workout and the kids play at the park while we workout. It’s been amazing getting out in the morning and getting some energy out. Granted I’m not going 100% in every move, but I am at least getting some movement in.
My cardio is mostly chasing my toddler, but about six months ago I started doing free weights and I’m hoping to keep that up as much as possible in this pregnancy. My goal has been getting stronger, not smaller. DS is not quite 3 and already weighs 45 pounds so I really want to keep some strength to be able to pick him up as needed and chase after him. I have definitely been exhausted so far and not doing as many sessions as usual but still getting in 2-3 a week. I think in pregnancy all you can do is what you feel up to.
I was a pretty religious exerciser before getting KU. I've definitely scaled it back now but that's mostly because I've been sick and exhausted (with non-pregnancy ailments) basically this whole pregnancy so far 😭.
When I'm up for it, I've been doing prenatal workouts on YouTube (I like anything barre, and Body Fit by Amy). Mostly I either walk or bike to work and that's been the entirety of my exercise recently. Like others, I hope to get back into it when I'm feeling a little better!
I was a personal trainer for nearly ten years, competed in fitness shows, the works. Now? Now my cardio is walking my husky because he guilts me into it, and the most energy I can muster will only get me through a moderate-level yoga class once or twice a week. Definitely hoping to find a middle ground in the second trimester, if only for the mental health benefits!
I've been keeping with my normal (to me, insane to most) daily running mileage, it helps that I don't feel nauseated while running. I ran through until my due date with my first, so hopefully this one lets me as well.
