Has anyone else had/have a complete previa placenta and did yours move in time for a vaginal delivery? Due September 28. Currently 23 weeks and 4 days.

Re: Complete Previa Placenta

  • Hi, welcome! I don't have any experience with that. Did your doctor give you much hope for it moving? This question would be a great question for the great big question thread and you might get more responses there. We try to keep the board clean by avoiding one off posts😊 also, if you're planning to stick around, head over to the introduction thread and introduce yourself so we can get to know you a bit better!😊
  • Hey I don't have experience with this first hand, however my mother had complete placenta previa when she was pregnant with me. She was induced only like a week or two before her due date and she gave birth to me naturally. This was almost 30 years ago. The Dr at the time told her to abort because of it and thankfully she got a second opinion and saw a specialist the rest of the pregnancy. her tummy got huuuuge when she was pregnant with me but overall I was healthy. & the health issues I did have were not caused by it (: good luck to you and your little one 💜

  • @mrskwhitelock did her placenta move before delivery or was it still completely covering her cervix? Crazy if it was still covering the cervix! A miracle you survived. I asked my midwive about it and she said that back in the day before c-section was an option, most women with complete placenta previa lost their baby since the placenta detaches first and the baby no longer has an oxygen supply since they're still in the womb.
