Cramps and tiredness

Hello everyone, I'm somewhere between 8 and 10 weeks pregnant (still waiting for my scan), and I've been having really bad stomach aches and cramps (upper belly), especially at night. I also have trouble sleeping and I'm always tired. I used to go to the gym 3-4 times a week, and now I can't even think of getting there.... Does anybody get that same feeling?? Thanks!!

Re: Cramps and tiredness

  • Hi!! I’m around 7 weeks and am experiencing this as well! Cramping is on and off but frequent and always worse at night. Have my first appointment next week

  • I’ve had lots of upper belly cramps as well! I’m 11w2d right now and at my 10w appointment my doctor told me that it’s normal and could be a product of dehydration and gas since your digestive system slows down while you’re pregnant. Also, baby looked great at 10w even through all of my stomach issues! Don’t let it stress you too much, your body is going through a lot right now and all stomach pains (as long as they’re not severe and no bleeding is accompanying them) are totally normal!
  • I had so much cramping between 5-9 weeks. I was convinced it was ectopic or something else was wrong. My OB said not to worry unless it’s unbearable pain or very much one sided. And then we found out we were having twins, which explained the extra cramping—gotta make room!
  • Thank you for all this! Seeing your comments makes me feel so much better. I’m experiencing a lot of cramping and some tiredness. I’m 5 weeks 4 days, I have an appointment with my OB in two weeks when I’m 7 weeks.
  • Also experiencing pretty consistent menstrual-like cramping. It's been waking me up at night. I'm 5 weeks and 2 days and have had the cramping for about 2 and a half weeks. Trying not to stress about it. I know for many women it's normal.
  • I'm between 5-6 weeks, pretty consistent cramping for me too. Last night was the first night it woke me up. I got up, walked around my house and drank a glass of water and was able to fall back to sleep. From everything I've read it sounds pretty normal but call your doc if it gets too severe/ unbearable.
