Moving to Private Group: Update and Requesting (Part 1 - Facebook)

Ok!  So, we have the private Facebook group set up.  The private Bump group is a work in progress - currently there is a glitch in the system which I am working with BumpAdmins to resolve, but right now that one is still pending.

So, what do you fine folk need to do?

1) Respond to this post indicating if you want to be in the private Facebook group (there will be another post at a later date for the private Bump group, once we are able to create it). 
2) People will then "love it" on your comment if they recognize you as someone who participates in the forum on a regular basis. 
3) Once you hit ten "love its," myself or one of the other Facebook moderators will send you a private message through the Bump with a link to the Facebook group. 
4) At the Facebook group, you will have to then request membership, which one of the moderators will approve.  Please note that the link is time-limited (i.e., it expire if it's not used within a few days).

Please note it will take us awhile to get everything moved over, and getting content over there will be slow-going.  In the meantime (and to some extent after), this group will continue to run as usual.

For those of you worried, that is part of the benefit for the private group - no one on Facebook can see that you're a member of a private Facebook group.

@__erin__ in order to get approved, you'll need to start participating in the public group for a bit so we can make sure you're not insane. As @babywiik said, a good way to start is by dropping by the introductions thread and introducing yourself.  Then just start participating in various threads so we can get to know you a bit!

I just did a little looking - it looks like you actually belong to the January 2023 group.  The private Facebook group we are talking about is for moms who are due in September 2022.  It is likely that your own board will eventually form a private group on either/both The Bump and Facebook.  So unfortunately you will not be eligible to join this private group since you are not due in September, but keep participating on your own board and you should be able to join a January 2023 private group, when it is formed!

@katie1sttimemama Based on your previous posts, it looks like you are due in Nov 2022. This group is strictly for moms due in Sept 2022. Your group will likely go private at some point, but until then, you can participate in the public Nov 2022 group!

@katier9090 Since you just moved over From October, you will need to participate in the public group for a bit before enough people recognize you for entry into the Facebook group.

@serenity_by_van to the left above the forum there should be an “inbox” button. It is difficult to find in the app. That being said, I don’t believe the links have been sent out.
