Babyshower guest list too big

I was stressing about our baby shower guest list last night until 2am because my husband seems to want to invite everyone who was at our wedding, nearly 100...and I feel like it would be too expensive. Plus his mom and my sister have concerns about the size since they think it might be too much although we are paying for the place and most of the food but I agree. 

I went through the list for an idea to keep people who weren't family that we actually really talked to or hang out with within the last year to cut it down to 70. Hopefully it will be in the 60's range. It is hard because we both have large families close knit and together is at 40! So I am going to present it to him and talk about it. 

He shouldn't invite someone just because he feels like so and so would be offended if we didn't or if we just see them around in social settings. Argh, wish me luck. I wish I would've such with women only lol would've been much smaller.
