    WTO/TWW? WTO

    Ages of other child(ren)? 2

Any thoughts about this cycle? None yet

Any questions? Is it normal for OPKs to vary in darkness like a lot? I’ve only had one where the test line was even remotely close to the control line then it went back to being super light.

Rant/Rave? Rave-both of our flights this weekend went so smoothly! My son actually slept almost the entire flight on our way home.

we just love to hike. We live in CO and have good mountains for it.
  • @iiirene I have very rarely had opks be even close if they were pretty dark I called it a win. Then i stopped using them.

@mambo5-2 ok. I really don’t think I’ve ovulated yet though. I’m on CD 11 now, this happened just maybe two days after my period ended, and when I conceived my son I had ovulated almost a week late. So I don’t know. Ugh.
  • @iiirene when I conceived my 4.5 year old I thought I ovulated but ended up ovulating later and found out I was pregnant like 20 days after I thought I ovulated, but like 10 days after I actually ovulated based on dating ultrasound.

What number are you trying for? 3

    Month/Cycle? 5/4

WTO/TWW? TWW, but I'm not waiting on anything.

    Ages of other child(ren)? 6, 4

Any thoughts about this cycle? It's a wash because of bad timing.

    Any questions? Nope.

Rant/Rave? I don't know if there is an appropriate place to vent about Mother's Day, but yesterday was really hard. DD has really been putting us through the ringer and yesterday was no exception. Possibly one of her worst days in a while. Cherry on top was no family nearby as usual and DH working. I just felt all the weight of that day and disappointment in everything, myself, etc.

GTKY: What are your favorite summer family traditions (or repeat experiences)? We're very lucky we have family homes to go to for the summer - my family has a beach house in NJ, DH has a lake house on an island in ME. We go there pretty much every weekend we can - in the summer we're definitely nomads. We're currently 3/4 of the way done building our own little cabin on the island. Mostly we'll be renting it out but hopefully it'll be a house we'll have for years to come.

@iiirene Yayyyyy for your travel going well!! Huge win.

  • @mambo5-2 aww such a little arm, but at least they did a pink glittery one for her. Yay for finally being able to move forward with your BCP cycle. Did all the blood work end up being a wash or "within lab error"?

@iiirene it's normal for OPKs to vary throughout your cycle, since the amount of LH isn't constant. Some women are slow risers, and close to O they see progressively darker lines, others are fast risers and you could go from a faint line to positive OPK at time of ovulation.

@mrsmtothek ugh, Mother's day can be hard for so many reasons. I'm sorry you had a less than great day.

What number are you trying for? 2

    Month/Cycle? 5/3

    WTO/TWW? TWW

Ages of other child(ren)? 12 months

Any thoughts about this cycle? Meh, I think I'm just WFAF at this point. I don't really have the symptoms that I remember from DD so I think I'm out.

    Any questions? NATM

Rant/Rave? Real talk, I'm just having a rough couple of TTC days. I feel like I'm surrounded by pregnant people, and it's not that I'm not happy for them, I definitely am. It's just that those feelings from our last round of TTC are creeping in and I am starting to worry that we are going to struggle again, and then I go into the spiral of "what if Clomid doesn't work this time" or "what if I'm just  too old" or "I should have lost more weight and maybe it would be easier". I know that others have had and are having more struggles than I have, but ugh. It's so hard.

GTKY: What are your favorite summer family traditions (or repeat experiences)? This will be our first summer with DD where she is interacting with her world, so I'm excited for some new traditions. I think the zoo and her water table will get a lot of use. I'm excited for her to explore outside and things like that.
  • @bbrahmbhatt they really have no idea what happened with my blood. So nobody knows.
Hugs lady on the rough TTC days, those are the worst.

  • @mambo5-2 I'm glad that your DD is coping well with her cast.
@iiirene OPKs can be weird. For a lot of folks it takes several cycles to see what your normal is. For me, I usually have at least one proper positive but sometimes have more than one and on a few cycles I haven't had a positive at all ::shrugs::
@mrsmtothek Sending hugs. MD can be a hard day for infinite reasons. For me, my kids were with their dad so I just tried not to think about it. A friend lost her mom last year so I reached out to her (plus she's childless at 41 due to no partner so I know it was a hard day for her).
@bbrahmbhatt Sending you hugs, too! This whole thing can be so challenging. Just sending all the support I can.

What number are you trying for? 3 (1st for SO)

    Month/Cycle? 9/8

    WTO/TWW? TWW

    Ages of other child(ren)? 8, 5

Any thoughts about this cycle? Just happy to have a shot after SO was away for two cycles

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave? My son is going on his first Scouts camping trip this weekend! He'll be away for two nights which is a pretty big deal. I'm looking forward to having some quality time with his sister while he's away. I can't get over how big he's getting.

GTKY: What are your favorite summer family traditions (or repeat experiences)? My family spends time together in northern New England and it's my happy place. My SO hasn't been able to go yet bc of Covid travel restrictions (USA wasn't letting any foreigners in) but he's coming this year which is very exciting.

@mambo5-2 oh my gosh I’m so sorry about your daughter! I hope she heals quickly and painlessly!

@mrsmtothek I’m sorry your Mother’s Day was difficult. I feel like it’s that way about 50% of the time. That cabin sounds delightful though.

@bbrahmbhatt sending big hugs your way!

@Paturkey how fun for your son! Two nights away is such a big deal. I hope he has the best time!

And thank you all for giving the best advice and putting up with my newbie problems. I appreciate it so much.
  • @mambo5-2 Your poor DD! I'm glad she is handling the cast well. And YAY for starting your IVF!
@iiirene I think everyone has given pretty much all I have for opinions on OKPs. I'm glad your flights went well!
@mrsmtothek I'm sorry you had such a rough Mother's Day. Your plans for the summer sound great, even if the NE weather is wonky right now.
@bbrahmbhatt I feel you so hard on all those TTC feelings. Sending hugs your way.
@Paturkey Welcome back friend! So glad your DH will be able to travel with you this year!

What number are you trying for? 2

    Month/Cycle? 17/2AL

    WTO/TWW? WTO

    Ages of other child(ren)? 3.5

Any thoughts about this cycle? If we can get in some BD tonight then I will feel better. All signs point to today being O day, so I just don't want to miss the opportunity. I would have liked to get in a few more days, but will be happy with what we did manage if we get a shot tonight.

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave? Coming back from vacation is THEE WORST! We had such an amazing time in FL with family. DS did amazing on both flights and while we were there the entire time. He didn't have any meltdowns or behavioral issues which was something I was nervous about. The weather was amazing and the lifestyle down there is just so different. We want to move there, and each time we visit it makes us want to make the move that much sooner.

GTKY: What are your favorite summer family traditions (or repeat experiences)? We don't really have any to be honest. I think we need to start making some!

@Paturkey Happy to have you back and back in the game!! Gotta be a great feeling.
