Prenatals + Nausea?!?!

Does anyone else feel like their prenatal vitamins are causing their nausea. On the days I forget to take mine, I have a lot less issues…

and on that note, anyone found a brand that doesn’t cause this?

Re: Prenatals + Nausea?!?!

  • I go for gummies over pills to help with nausea. Also, taking them right before bed can help.

  • My prenatals are ok but my nutritionist recommended extra vit b and zinc on top of that and oh man those are rough. The zinc especially makes me want to vomit so I stopped taking those, I don't care, I cannot. Gummies do seem to work better but when I looked at prenatal gummies they seemed to have less stuff than the pills did. :(
  • I've had to give up the prenatal because I just can't stomach it. I'll try again later when the vomiting eases up.

I was getting sick after taking mine but I think it was mostly related to the fishoil in the vitamin. Once the vitamin started digesting, i was burping fishoil and that was the worst. I switched brands and it went away.
  • I take the Olly prenatal gummies and they don't make me nauseous. I used to be nauseous a lot early on so I don't know if it's because the prenatals are helping or if now I'm at that time for it to chill but they definitely haven't made me nauseous on their own😊

I ended up finding a chewable that I don’t mind the taste of that helped a lot. I decided not to go with a gummy because the gummy ones don’t seem to have iron, which I want to make sure I’m getting enough of (since I can’t eat much iron-rich food right now due to the constant nausea).
