When did I conceive??

Hi all, so am 4.5wks and yesterday after a couple of days with brown discharge it finally changed to a more reddish colour with today being worse I've phoned the early pregnancy unit and to go for blood test tomorrow to check hormone levels, my question is tho I came off the pill end of January and didn't have my first period until 4th April then got a positive test 1st May, is it possible I was already pregnant BEFORE my period came? As I am experiencing no cramping with the bleeding but I am getting those fluttery feelings?

If you had a full fledged period you were not pregnant immediately following that and the first day of that bleeding would be the start of your LMP.

Maybe important to note, the number of weeks along you are includes the 2 weeks after your last period where you haven’t even conceived yet. 😅 so if you’re 4.5 weeks, baby’s actually only been in existence for 2.5!

Unless you were tracking ovulation and have a day you know of where your LH surged, you likely conceived some time around the 18th, and your body built up HCG until you tested positive on the 1st.
