I think I'd run a secondhand clothing and book shop, and volunteer at organizations that focus on college access, readiness, and completion for low-income youth.
I’d just volunteer everywhere—crisis nurseries one day, domestic abuse shelter another, Ronald McDonald house, NICUs, kids schools, have a little bakery, etc.
I would host fundraising galas and find fun ways to support charities. I would mostly hang in my mansion tho and swim in my giant pool, while the staff of the house takes care of me. Oh the life.
I’d like to say I’d make lots of art , but I do teach art and work as a studio artist now for money so… I’m sure that’s not true I’d probably do a bunch of travel. Go to some islands in Thailand and hang, visit Greece, go to the southwest US.
then learn new types of art, play with new materials, sew, draw more, learn upholstery.
Then in my favorite place I’ll set up an artist residency in a big old building on some beautiful land with studios and equipment and housing for the artists that visit.
Great question! Job: Hiking guide or maybe the person who keeps the hiking trails clear, depending how much I want to talk to people that season. Something physically active and outside for sure. I'd happily do it for free as long as I could bail on rainy days. Occupy my time: I'd have a nice life of leisure consisting of giving our future cherub all the love and attention they deserve, playing tennis, hiking, skiing, rotating between my city townhouse and my lake mansion, and attending galas that @database6 throws so I can get dressed up from time to time.
Maybe I'd volunteer for political issues that are important to me, like rising healthcare costs and healthcare accessibility, but this looks like a really packed schedule and in my dream life I have enough time to sit and do nothing every day.
I would help other people get their budget and finances together for fun. I've already offered this to a couple of people but they're too embarrassed I guess. I could (read: have) spent hours planning or budget and how things will look by the end of the year, or for maternity leave, etc. 🤓
Be a SAHM the rest of the time and read all the books and watch all the movies I've not had time to get to.
